 The sun shining brightly,

Spreading warmth throughout the land,

The wind blowing softly,

Bringing a comforting breeze

In the middle of a dense forest,

Lies a hidden garden, filled with flowers,

In the centre of the garden,

Stands a different tree to the others,

Acting as the centre piece

Rather than being adorned with pear colour leaves,

It was covered with flowers,

Each being a softer pink than the next,

With a yellow centre piece

The petals, compared to the leaves were fragile, small,

Departing easily from their flower in the wind,

Floating and fluttering in the breeze,

As if they had wings of their own

Beneath the tree, there was a person,

Someone who had found this secret garden,

Accidentally while wandering the forest,

But they were happy they did.

 They stood for a moment,

Taking in all the sounds,

The birds singing,

The trees rustling,

The crickets chirping

 A serene scene,

Looking picturesque,

as if coming out of a fantasy novel,

It almost didn't seem real.

They breathed the fresh air in,

Taking a deep breath,

Before producing a folding fan from their bag,

Taking it and opening it in their hand,

As they stepped closer to the cherry blossom tree.

Petals littered the ground,

Some still gliding in the wind,

While the flowers in the tree,

Danced along with the wind.

The figure raised their fan to their chest,

Taking a couple steps forward,

Raising their other hand, as if beckoning,

Humming a soft tune as they did.

They moved under the cherry blossom tree elegantly,

moving carefully, as if scared they'd break something,

Taking light feather steps, like that of a deer,

The wind flowing with them, as if protecting them.

The figure lowers the fan to the ground,

Quickly bringing their arm back up,

Bringing the scattered petals on the floor with them,

Showering them with soft pink petals,

As if they were royalty.

They finish their dance and bring their fan to their face,

As they look off into the distance,

Noticing they were now being watched,

By a figure similar to them.

You had wandered into the forest for some quiet,

Letting the sound of the rustling trees overtake your senses,

Letting the fresh air rush by you,

Before you found yourself standing before a cherry blossom tree,

With a figure standing...dancing beneath it

You were unable to look away as you watched them gracefully dance,

And as they finished, you approached

taking careful steps, as to not scare them,

Once you were close enough,

you offer your hand to them,

Silently asking for a dance.

They agree, taking their hand in yours,

As you both go into a waltz,

Matching each other's steps,

Matching your movements in sync

If anyone saw you two,

They would guess you were lifelong friends,

Who have danced together before,

Who have practiced together, laughed together,

Talked together, shared pains and joys with each other,

But this was not the case

You both danced for a long time,

Losing track of the time,

As the sun was now starting to set,

The land becoming engulfed in an amber light.

 When you both stepped away,

You ended your waltz, although you did not want to,

You both took a bow, saying nothing,

After all, no words were needed,

A bond was starting to form.

The figure asked you a question,

"Will I see you again?"

You reply you will,

On another day

And on that day,

When fate brings you both together again,

You will continue your elegant dance,

Until the sun sets once more.
