A blue fan

Water flowing peacefully,

Lush green grass swaying gently in the wind,

The summer sun rays shining down,

Not a sound to be heard

A figure sits by a river,

Alone with their thoughts,

As they feel the sun rays hitting their skin,

Feeling the warmth, embracing it

In their hand,

Is a small object,

It helps them keep cool against the sun harsh rays,

Allowing their skin to feel cool, even for a moment

Made from woof dyed blue,

The colour resembling the night sky,

A calming colour,

Yet a cold colour as well

Fabric made of a similar colour,

Although this one is lighter,

Resembling the sky just as it comes out of the twilight,

The colour being as equally calming,

And equally as cold as well

Adorned with flowers of three colours,

Pink, purple and red

They provide a contrast to the blue,

Yet they are not out of place

The figure holds the fan,

Keeping them cool from the sun's warm rays,

Whilst simultaneously admiring the beauty of the fan

For it reminds them of something else,

Something dear to them

It reminds them of a simpler time,

When they were dancing under the cherry blossom tree,

When someone emerged from the forest,

And that person asked them to dance

They danced together,

Until the sun set,

And when it did, they reluctantly parted,

And that person's words stuck with them

They promised they would meet again,

And when they did,

They would dance until the sun set once more,

and they would meet again.

The figure smiles at the memory,

Their heart being filled with joy and warmth,

As they stood up,

Stretching their stiff limbs.

They hummed a soft tune,

Keeping their fan open,

And slowing started to dance once more,

Hoping to see that person again

Although,

They knew they would not,

At least, not today,

But they knew,

That in the future,

Fate would bring them back together again.
