I stood in the corner
once again, the feeling of loneliness
washing over me like a tidal surge.
I stood there
crossing my arms across my chest,
as my heart longed to hear your voice,
to listen to you sharing what runs in your mind,
too see things the way you do.

I try shaking that shitty feeling away,
yet it comes back to me with a stronger gush.
So I distract myself,
and focus on my photography.
Perhaps I am cursed in a way.
For even when I try to run away from the memories of you,
you reinvent the same moment,
creating new versions of my old memory,
destroying my heart,
and leaving me devastated once again.
