Gazing upon the cars, their drivers a sight,
Even 'neath the cloak of a rain-drenched day.
In the flash of lightning, his smile so bright,
Like a child lost in confectionary play.

My heart, it dances, a pitter-patter beat,
Watching him, a tempest stirs inside.
Which roars louder, his heart or mine in feat,
A race of pulses, in silence, we confide.

Adorned in his suit, rain's kiss upon his skin,
She marvels at their fortune, under the sky's grey hue.
Gloves grace his hands, hers mirror in a twin,
Wishing him safety as he fades into the view.

At the platform's edge, she waits for just a glimpse,
Her heart races for her beloved, amidst engines' powerful hymns.
Is it the cars' allure or his smile that she seeks?
In every pulse, every look, love finds the renewal it speaks—
Everlasting, in each moment, her love anew, it peaks.
