I managed to get ready on time despite the fresh wound on my thigh, I must have had injured myself in my sleep. I wiped my eyes to attempt to conceal the bags under my eyes in the hope that no one would saw it. I wore a vest similar to Neji but it was sleeveless, a black short and a pair of black sandals was ready beside me. I also wore my old robe on top of the vest; the robe was the only thing tying me to my mother. I doubt that anyone could make a connection to the symbol on my back. I thought that I was overdressed, but that was an occasion that I had never experienced before, I was homeschooled you see. I was tying the black cloth on my forehead when I heard a timid knock on my doors.

"Hikari-Nisan, are you ready?" Hinata called for me. I slid open my door.

"Yes, Hinata-sama. Where is Neji? Shouldn't he be joining us?" I asked while closing my door after I got out of it.

"N-Neji is already a genin; the strongest one at that. So he is with his team. Please d-don't call me Hinata-sama," she said while following me to the gate.

"Oh, sorry Hinata. So, what is a genin?" I asked. I was following her when I noticed that a person was shadowing us.

"Genin is one of the ranks assigns to a ninja. Genin means you are a fresh graduate of a ninja academy, in other word, an apprentice ninja. Chuunin is the team leader for a small mission involving only genins and they are the average ninja. Jounin is the elite ninja which will be assigned a genin team of their own to teach them to be a full-fledged ninja. Hokage stands at the top. T-That is Naruto's dream," she explained, surprisingly. It's the first time I heard her spoke so many words. Her eyes grew soft when she mentioned Naruto's name.

"You must have liked this Naruto person," I teased and her face was more crimson than last night.

"I-I... please don't tell anyone," she stuttered while her face went red as a tomato. I chuckled at her behavior.

"Don't worry Hinata. I won't, I just couldn't resist teasing you a bit. So, do you noticed the man that was following us?" I said, changing the subject.

"Y-yes, Tou-sama had a branch member following me to school every day since after my first day," she explained. I nodded as I took in her words.

"Hey, you! Thank you for your hard work, you don't need to follow her for now. I will be watching over her if I am around. You can go back and tell Hiashi-sama that," I yelled without looking back. I noticed that the man bowed and disappeared.

"T-thank you, Hikari-Nisan but I am working to stand on my own feet," Hinata said as she hung her head. I patted her head and grinned when she looked at me.

"And I will be watching you," I said. She nodded and smiled timidly. We were interrupted by the noise of people quarreling with each other. I saw a man wearing the formal ninja attire with the same headband that Kakashi-san wore on his forehead carrying a yellow-haired boy all tied up.

"Iruka-sensei, let me go! Dattebayo!" The boy shouted.

"Not a chance! Oh hey, Hinata! And this must be the new student. Hikari, is that right?" The man said and the boy still struggling with his binding. I bowed at the man.

"Iruka-sensei, this is my brother," Hinata said while gesturing at me.

"Hyuuga Hikari. Please take care of me," I said.

"Nice to meet you finally, I'm Umino Iruka. Come let's go inside. We're late," Iruka said. We walked together inside towards what would be my classroom while the boy struggled with his binding. Hinata went in first.

"Hikari, you wait here for a moment until I call for you," Iruka asked and I said okay. He went in without closing the doors and he put the boy on the floor.
