Chapter Seven: New Rules

Your POV

Emmett somehow ended up having me back by midnight, which satisfied Charlie. Edward picked me up for school, which Emmett complained about during both of our classes together. He's starting to get a little possessive and I can't say that I don't like it. During third period Jasper tells me that he'll be the one taking me home, which I'm kind of excited about. After my last class Edward walks me over to the car, ranting about how Emmett's thoughts were way too loud last night for his liking. As we walked up to Emmett and Jasper I start to make my way to the Volvo.

"Alright boys, claws off my girl," Jasper says and waves his hands like he's shooing them away.

Emmett lets out an aggravated groan and Edward rolls his eyes before they get in the Jeep and peel out of the parking lot.

I shake my head at Jasper and get in the passenger seat, Jasper gets in right after me. I glance at him out the corner of my eye as he starts to drive towards his house. I set my feet up and rest my head against the back of the seat.

"Keep your feet off the dash, Swan," Jasper says while a smirk tugs on his lips.

"Watch it Jas, I'm still the strongest one here ya know. I could literally kick your butt." I flash him a cocky grin before pushing my feet higher onto the dash.

"Have you forgotten my experience with newborns? I wouldn't be so sure of that."

"Is that a challenge, Hale?" I smirk at him and raise my eyebrow.

He throws the car into park as we pull up to his house.

"It is, Miss Swan. Five dollars to the winner." He hold up a five dollar bill in between his fingers and gives me a sideways smile.

"You are so on."

Jasper and I run out of the car and deep into the woods behind his house. We stop when we start to hear the creek about a mile away. I turn around to face him and he had on his signature crooked smile.

"Ladies first." He shoots me a wink.

I sprint at him and right before I hit him he jumps out of the way. I skid to a stop and flip around. Jasper grabs my leg and throws me up in the air. I catch myself on a tree and jump down onto Jasper's shoulders. He reaches up to grab my shoulders and flips me to the ground. When I land I slide his feet out from under him. As he lands hard on his back I stand over him.

"Where's that five dollars at, Hale?"

Suddenly, Jasper sweeps my legs out from under me and I land on my back. He grabs my wrists with his hands and pins me down to the ground with his knees on either side of my body. Great, now I'm trapped.

"Staying in my pocket, Swan." He winks at me and I roll my eyes.

"Well are you going to let me go now?"

He smirks at me and leans down a little so there's about a foot of space in between our faces.

"No. I'm quite enjoying this."

I try to struggle my wrists free but it's no use.

I thought I was supposed to be stronger than him?

I blow a piece of hair out of my face and sigh. Jasper leans in a couple inches more.

If I had a heartbeat, it would be going crazy right now.

What is he trying to do?

Is he going to kiss me?

As he leans another inch I feel my anxiety build a little bit more.
