Ch. 22 "Deal"

                                                          Kylie POV

I was back at the house when I first got to Mystic Falls, I now remember why I keep to myself not caring is a lot better for when I have to leave, I thought, well I better get up, I thought as I got out of bed I got dressed, brushed my teeth and hair making my way down stairs, 

I look in all the cabinets and fridge, 

"Sigh, bare I guess I'm skipping breakfast," I mumbled 

"Might as well go for a walk since I have nothing better to do," I said 

grabbing my jean jacket tying my shoes to my converse  and leaving 

I walk through the woods, listening to the animals of the woods the leaves and twigs crunching under my feet,

                                                       Third Person POV

I'll be back as soon as I can." Maddox told Klaus at the front of the apartment door,

"Yes, do hurry I'm anxious to get out of this body and if you get hung up call me you know how impatient I get," Klaus said 

Nodding, Maddox left the apartment to go and retrieve Klaus' body Katherine stood at the kitchen as she eavesdropped on their conversation before turning away she poured coffee for Klaus and held the cup to him,

"Where is he going?" Katherine questioned 

He walked toward her and grabbed the cup,

"To retrieve me so I can get out of this bad hair-do," Klaus said 

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Klaus?" She narrowed her eyes 

"Well, the full moon is almost upon us," He said setting the moonstone on the table 

"I've killed the witch, I have the moonstone, the doppelgänger is waiting in the wings, but there is still the mystery of the child, but we'll get to that later, ohh, I am ready to break this curse," Klaus said 

"And why would you do that here? there's so many people that would try to stop you," Katherine said 

"Because I have to it's the birthplace of the doppelgänger," Klaus said 

"Sigh, I didn't realize that was a requirement," Katherine said 

"Well, how could you? you betrayed me and fled England before I could give you the details, Katerina but I did find your birthplace and I slaughtered your family." Klaus smirked "So I guess we're cool lets just hope that Elena isn't as stupid as you were," Klaus said 

Katherine swallowed the lump in her throat of remembering her family's deaths, "She won't run she'll die before she lets anyone that she loves get hurt," She rolled her eyes 

"And that's exactly what I'm counting on," Klaus said as he grinned 

"You can't leave till I tell you to" He compelled 

"I'm off to find the mystery of little Kylie," Klaus said 

                        Kylie POV

I'm leaning against a tree, with my arms crossed, looking out at the quarry 

I can't stay here much longer or he'll find me, I thought 

If I stay and he finds me things will get worse people will find out what I am and everything will crumble, when did I start to care? why do I care? 

you're losing your touch, you come to the next town you stay for a week or two and you leave, that is my rule that is how I've survived, 

"Sigh, what a mess," I mumbled 

I didn't realize it until now someone is here I focus my hearing and smell, Klaus I thought 

I smirked but didn't say anything, or do anything 

My ankles crossed as I'm leaning agains a tree, my arms crossed and my eyes closed waiting for him to get here,

I open my eye seeing him stand next to me,

"Klaus, to what do I owe the pleasure," I said not moving 

"you know love, most people cower at the sound of my name yet here you are not even fazed why is that?" He asked 

I shrugged, 

"I guess you can say I've outgrown fear," I said 

he arched his brow,

I sighed getting up about to leave but he grabbed my wrist,

It brought back memories of my father so as reflex I pushed him hard, 

"Easy love, don't wanna hurt your buddy," Klaus said 

"What do you want?" I said glaring at him 

"Like I told you before I want to know what you are," He said 

"and like I said I don't know what you're talking about," I said 

"and get out of Alaric's body and bring him back," I demanded 

He shrugged, "Don't worry, I'll be out of this useless body soon I might as well kill him save him the trouble of all this chaos," He said calmly 

I glared at him 

"You wouldn't dare," I said challenging him 

"Oh little wolf just try me," He grinned 

I can tell he's not bluffing, dam it! I thought 

"Your friend may not die, if you are willing to make a deal," Klaus smirked 

I could feel my hands clenching into fists 

"What kind of deal?" I asked 

"Oh it's simple really, after I break the curse I will leave town to build and collect my army but... I want you to come with me," He said 

"To spare your friend's life, you will come with me and we will leave Mystic Falls forever," Klaus said 

"Not interested," I said 

I went to leave, 

"Poor Alaric, don't worry I'll make it a fast kill," Klaus said 

I whipped my head and body scrunching my nose, 

"Fine!, I'll leave with you, but give me your word you will spare Alaric and not harm him in exchange I will go with you," I said glaring at him 

Klaus nodded, "you have my word that Alaric will not be harmed after I am done with him, Thank you little wolf for your sacrifice," Klaus said 

kissing the top of my forehead  after that he left 

I'm pretty sure I made a deal with the devil, but if I do run into him maybe Klaus can protect me, I thought 

after what happened I get a call from Stefan I walk in the house and a familiar smell hits my nose,

"Elijah!" I said 

running to him hugging him 

"Kylie, im so glad you're safe," He said
