{ Andrea's POV }

After Charlotte and I clean the mess up we go and sit back down. Everyone looks at me in question.
I just sip my wine.

"Someone is a badass." Roslyn says siping her drink while smirking towards me.

"Everyone please continue to enjoy dinner, Andrea please come with me." Ander says

I give a nod and go with him.
We end up in his office which use to be Artemis's,
I look around seeing he has changed a few things but not much. We remain standing but he is standing closer to his desk, and I'm still by the door.

"You let him go, why?" He questions me

"You let me let him go. Why?" I ask in return

"Artemis always spoke highly of you, and seemed fond of you. I assumed the two of you were seeing each other, but were good at hiding it.. but I never understood it. Until his letter."
He says then looks at me

"That's sickening to think that you ever thought that." I reply

"He was a cold and heartless mafia boss, but he put all of his trust in you. I figured if he did then there was a reason. I wanted to find out the reason." He says replying back to me

"Did you?" I ask

"Yes, Andrea you're a controlled bomb."
Ander says

"Excuse me?" I question

"I watched you care for Artemis, then he died, I took over.. and handed you over like a pawn to Samuele. I thought you didn't understand this world completely.. and I knew you didn't want to be f*cking handed over to him, and yet I did it. Only to make a deal for the sake of the mafia.. but still you didn't run,  you didn't talk a lot, you were always calm and respectful." Ander says

I just give him a look still not fully understanding.

"I figure out today that you were in a loveless marriage with someone who treated you like the dirt underneath his shoe.. and yet you kept your composure and stayed well mannered at home and every event. I don't know what happened while you were with him in Italy, but I can only assume you remained calm and observant through everything."
Ander says

I nod telling him he is right.

"And today Andrea, you show up calm with your best face on. Making a deal to get out of your marriage, which I'll make good on my word get you out of. Then after figuring out everything, I find out you were put through hell your whole life.. and yet you stayed composed. No one in the mafia is that calm in every situation. Even tonight in anger and protectiveness which is the downfall of everyone in the mafia.. you were calm but deadly, and highly effective." Ander says

Then he laughs a little under his breath shaking his head and says "The mafia has had its fair share of strong mafia women through the years, but none of them have ever stayed so composed. So you see Andrea, you aren't just a regular bomb because you don't just explode when your fuse burns out... you aren't even a ticking time bomb because you don't explode even when the timer goes off."

He smirks and says "You're a controlled bomb, you choose when you want to explode, and you choose who you want to burn.. and even then you stay deadly calm, composed, and silent."

Then he adds "As I've said I will get you out of your marriage, and I really am sorry for pawning you off in the first place. You didn't deserve that."

"Can I say something freely?" I ask to be polite

He gives me a strange look then nods.

"No one deserves to be pawned off into a marriage just for the sake of a deal. If I hadn't been through all the traumatic parts of my life as horrible as they were, I would've broke beyond repair." I say then I look in his eyes and finish by saying "Ander, there are other ways to make deals, an arranged marriage should never be the answer."

He looked down and nodded.

"I'll do everything I can to keep it from happening again." He promises

I give him a nod.

"Andrea, had I known that you were my sister..
I never would've never have even tried to pawn you off. I don't show my feeling much, but just know that I don't blame you for anything Alastair has done." Ander tells me

"I appreciate you telling that." I reply honestly in some ways I needed to hear it

"And if it's okay with you, I would like to get to know you better." He says

"I would like that." I tell him and then I continue to say "And to answer your question from earlier, I let him go because I want him to fear the mafia he betrayed, and he'll warn Alastair."

Ander raises an eyebrow

"I want him to know that I'm coming for him. I don't care if he dies or not, your the boss so it's your choice, but he doesn't get to go free."
I say strongly

"He won't. I swear to you, that he'll pay for the pain and suffering he has cause both of us." Ander swears

I give him a nod

"Would you be willing to have a private breakfast with me in the library tomorrow?" He asks

I give a nod and then add "Although you should probably let Roslyn know I'm your half sibling, I don't want her or anyone else to get the wrong idea."

He nods "I'll inform them that your my sister, and I'll say that is all I'm willing to discuss."

"Thank you." I say politely

"Don't thank me after the harm I put you in, it's only right that I try and make up for it now." Ander says feeling guilty as he should

I give a nod as a response.

"I'll announce the news tomorrow night at the ball, and I'll tell Roslyn tonight." He says

"Ok." I reply

And with that we left his office, he went back to the dinning hall to meet up with Roslyn, and I went upstairs to my old room which I'll be staying in.
Isla surprised me by moving my bags for me into my old room.

I fell asleep and for once I slept like I imagine normal people do. I didn't have a nightmare, I wasn't overly worried, or feeling like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. I fell into a deep sleep, and had dreams of Artemis and Jason teaching me life skills and fighting techniques.

After all I'm in my safe place.

I'm home.
