Emma/Electra's Pov Everything was going great. I really liked Brian and that was the first date I was ever asked on. Then it came time for the Math Olympics.
"Best of luck students." Our Math teacher spoke encouragingly. "On your marks, get set, go."
"Oh whoa this is a tough one. Okay Emma, think. Time to tap into your brainpower. Wait. That's it! I know this."
So just like that I tapped into an intellectual power I didn't know I had. Then it came time to announce the winners.
"First place Emma CarMichael. It was very close and second place Brian Peters, Brian Peters."
"WHAT! Eugh, I can't believe this!"
"I know it's so close Congratulations." Then I asked. "You ready for that ice cream? I'm thinking Rocky Road?!"
"NO WAY! YOU BEAT ME?! That's IMPOSSIBLE! You cheated!"
"Cheated?! WHAT?" I inquired.
"No offense, Emma--- but I'm the SMART ONE in class." Brian claims. "You're a cheater; I don't hang out with cheaters, humph."
I didn't cheat; I just didn't realize I was naturally gifted with Super Pop abilities and Brian was a very sore loser.
Brian broke my heart. I was so upset, but luckily, my Mom comforted me.
"I just can't believe he would treat me like this," I stated. "Maybe I should have just let him win."
"Emma, don't ever be ashamed of who you are; you're gifted!" My mother responds to my doubts now. "Just be true to yourself and follow your heart."
"I have to go the Principal tomorrow what am I gonna say?! What if he doesn't believe me?"
"Just tell the truth, throughout life you're gonna run into bullies. Just try to get through it and know that I love you."
