~Holly's point of view~
The next morning, I was still feeling the sugar high; I hadn't slept at all. I got up, cleaned the entire house, and started laundry. I knew the plan was to go mudding as soon as breakfast was over. I have no intentions of leaving. Not unless he asks me to. We have a routine, and we stick to it. We both have our reasons, I assume. It works, so we stay with it.
I know by now to take my clothes to the garage. He's had to bring them to me twice now. I'm not letting it happen a third time. I had just gotten to the bottom step of the porch when my phone rings.
~Phone conversation~
Holly: "Hello?"
Reed: "Hey."
I can see him through the glass. He has his back to the front door; he can't see me.
Reed: "Where are you?"
Holly: "Turn around."
~End conversation~
I see him turn around and look at me through the door. I open the door, and he meets me there. He pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead.
Holly: "Good morning. How are you?"
His heart is beating a million beats per minute.
Reed: "I'm great now. I thought you had left."
Holly: "Seriously?"
Reed: "Yes."
He is still holding me pretty tight.
Holly: "Oh, I see. Were you hoping to get rid of me?"
Reed: "Hell no. I was frantic with worry."
He let's go finally. Not that I mind; it was just unusual.
Holly: "I had all your stuff out."
Reed: "I thought you did it before you left."
Holly: "I'd tell you to your face if I was leaving Reed. I'm comfortable here with you. I like living here."
Reed: "That's actually really great to know, Sweetheart."
I'm not sure why he thought I would leave. I go to make breakfast. I see the shock on his face when I sit down to eat with him. I had made french toast with blueberries and bananas.
Reed: "You're eating?"
Holly: "I am."
He locks eyes with me and smiles.
Reed: "Did you sleep at all?"
Holly: "Nooooppe."
Reed: "You've been up all night?"
Holly: "Yep."
Reed: "Do you even feel like going mudding?"
Holly: "Why would I miss a chance to get muddy?"
I wouldn't miss the chance to wrap myself around him.
Reed: "Why did you stay up all night?"
Holly: "Someone bought me an apple."
