~This chapter is a bit different~
~Deena's point of view~
~Two weeks later~
It's been hard on my family. Tyler and Ty have helped tremendously; things have really been overwhelming. My Dad has been struggling, and I've been the one taking care of my siblings. After meeting Tyler's siblings, I got to spend two days with him before I got a call from Tabitha. I had to come back home. I've gotten used the having a guard, and I understand why. My boyfriend's little sister is married to a superstar. My boyfriend's little sister is my best friend; Frankie has been fantastic.
I really enjoy being around him. Tabitha does too. I know she has a crush on him. She's only twenty, though. He's in his mid-thirties; my Dad enjoys talking to him. They were both in the military; Tabitha is my little sister. She and I are the two older ones. After Tabby, the ages go from sixteen to eight. Tabby watches them when I am with Tyler. She gets stressed, so I come home. When I'm home, I get stressed, stressed to the point that I've made an appointment with Kevin. I need something for anxiety.
This is my family home. It's falling apart.
We can't afford to fix it. I refuse to ask Ty and Tyler for help. They pay our bills and make sure we have food. That's enough. I finish getting ready and head down the steps.
Tabitha: "How long are you going to be?"
Deena: "Hopefully not long. I should be back before they get out of school."
Tabitha: "Ok."
Frankie: "Are you ready?"
Deena: "Yeah."
We get in Frankie's car. He won't drive the family van unless we all go somewhere, which is rare.
Frankie: "Everything ok?"
Deena: "Yeah, it's just a checkup."
Frankie: "If it's just a checkup, why doesn't Tyler know about it?"
Deena: "He has enough on his plate."
Frankie: "If I get chewed out for this..."
Deena: "He won't know unless you, Tabby, or Dad say something. I'm almost positive that you could get Tabby to keep her mouth shut."
He laughs.
Frankie: "Tyler would kill me."
Deena: "She's crazy about you."
Frankie: "I know she is. I could lose my job, though."
Deena: "I think you would be ok."
