i woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of rain hitting the window. i opened my eyes to a squint, and looked over at henry who was sound asleep, and with a hand around my waist. i scooted closer to him and rested my head on his chest. he then started rubbing my arm and kissed me on the forehead. "you okay?" he asked. "yes, never better" i replied with a smile. i kissed him on his cheek while he was still half asleep. i fell asleep feeling safe in his arms, and to the sound of peaceful rain and his heartbeat. i fell asleep knowing i was finally happy, with the boy i'll marry one day and start a life with. wow.
