Chapter 10: "What a Way to Wake Up"

Two days later

"Samina! Wake up!"

I stayed up all night, well only 'till Fajr, then I went to sleep because I was stressing out too much, and getting scolded by a half-asleep Katia reminding me that 'my wedding is tomorrow and that I need to get my "crap" together', to say in kinder words at least.

"I will dump cold water on you if you don't get up," Katia threatens, "and..." she thinks, "I'll rip your manga!"

That wakes me up, "You wouldn't dare," I grab her by her shirt.

"Nah, I wouldn't," she smacks my hand away, "the covers are too pretty, it would shatter my soul."

"Meanie," I glare at her and cross my arms, and she just sticks her tongue out at me. I glance at the clock and gasp, "Katia. Why does the clock say that it's 5 A.M.?"

She gives me an 'are you stupid, or an idiot' look, "because it is five A.M."

My eye twitches, "Why did you wake me up at five in the morning??" She replies, "Because you have wedding preparations, girl the stylist is going too be here in an hour, so go take a shower!"

"Huh?!"

"You heard me!" She shoved me towards the bathroom, "Clean up, and I'll bring your breakfast up when you're out."

I just stare blankly at the bathroom door...one hour? Katia isn't having it so she pushes me to the bathroom yet again, and a thought hits me, "Wait, is the stylist a woman?!"

"Of course, idiot, now HURRY UP!" I roll my eyes at her excessive shouting and rub my eyes, 'What a way to wake up.'
