I took even breaths as I relaxed on the unusually soft surface. It resembled a squishing gel, displacing slightly under the weight of each limb only to fill the empty crevasses between.

In.

Out.

My chest rose and fell like water climbing the shore only to fall back to the ocean.

In.

Out.

The repeated motion felt like a form of intense meditation. Calm and tranquil. It was almost a state of complete numbness as I floated somewhere between asleep and awake.

Not any one thought in particular caught my attention, rather they passed seamlessly though my mind, floating along just as comfortable as I was.

*I should be doing something.*

My muscles sat heavily against the softness of the surface under me. My body felt as though it could melt and slip away into a shallow puddle.

*I should be doing.. Something.*

Just as quickly as the thought came, it was gone. My mind suddenly traveled to a strange place.

***Three huge pearlesent spheres lit up the darkened purple skyline. They were moons. They were much closer to this planet than our moon was to earth. Dominating the entire skyline. They reflected a light blue hue, causing the area around me to illuminate with intense bioluminescence.

Green and pink glowing creatures that resembled hairy caterpillars crawled along huge draping iridescent black leaves. Blue flying creatures floated in the air like jellyfish. The black leaves looked like they were made of charcoal with millions of particles of crushed diamonds dusted over top.

Beneath my feet were small smooth pebbles of various colors, they resembled moonstones, reflecting the full color spectrum, though the light blue was most prominent.

The water was nearly white, though the hue from the moon made it look like water you would see in the Bahamas, a light blue and incredibly transparent. I looked through the glassy water, seeing an abundance of brightly colored creatures swimming quickly from here to there.

I could see all the way to the bottom, to what looked like a sheet of crushed diamonds, each speckle of diamond sand shimmered in the blue moonlight.

"Siniyah ahi an whap?"  A foreign language, spoken by a strange gravely voice. I turned around startled, looking for the voices owner.

"Do you know who you are?" They asked again, this time I understood as they spoke in plain english.

"Yes.. I'm Viviana Wells... Who are you?" I questioned the stranger whose voice was raspy like an old witch.

"Do you know who you truly are?" They croaked out. Their energy felt dark and heavy, frightening me back into the swirling hallucinogenic episode that delivered me here to begin with.

"Nobody. I'm nobody." I whispered to myself. The night air suddenly thickened, the swirling darkness consuming even the brightest lights.

"You are unripe. Prepare, Siniyah. Time is little." The distorted voice warned through the emptiness.

I awoke confused, my heart racing from the intense nightmare. Sweat clung to me as I sat up clutching my chest. I jumped from the bed only to see a luminescent blue line wrapped around my body, effectively tethering me to the bedroom wall. I had enough slack to move about the room and enter the bathroom.

I examined the line, it was bright and seamless, wrapped perfectly around my abdomen. It stretched with each of my movements, like it was created to link biologically with my skin. The other end was secured around a small ring that folded out of the wall.

"I hate him." I gritted my teeth, my eyes turning to slivers as I stared longingly at the entry way to the bedroom.

I pulled at the line, ripping at it as hard as I could. I wrapped it around my hands, balling my fists and pulled as hard as I could. Suddenly I was on my ass, my hands and abdomen stinging from the unexpected shock that blew through me during my failed attempt to free myself.

"Ms. Wells?" I heard Renasha's voice call from the living room.

"Oh thank goodness!" I caught my shaky breath and sighed out in relief. Maybe she knows how to get me out of this place.

"I'm in here!" I yelled to her, calling her into the bedroom.

"King Alpheyon has ordered me to show you to the woman's unit today." She entered the room, u effected by the sight. She pressed on the wall next to the line and it vanished. No key, no removing it from my arm, it simply just vanished into thin air.

"There are some tests and procedures that need to be done before you can be offered at the Rivalry." She waited patiently by the door as i collected myself. The electric current still tingling though my fingers and toes.

"Why does he think he can get away with locking me up?" The question was more for myself but Renasha answered anyway.

"He is King. The Superior Power. You disrespect him yet you are still here, when others are not. Consider yourself lucky." Her usual accepting tone was replaced with a judgemental one.

"I was kidnapped. He hasn't earned my respect." I spat back, feeling confrontational now. There was no way that I was going to be made out to be the bad guy in this situation.

Renasha said nothing until we reached the white room. The deathly plain room that one could possibly go nuts in. I silently stood next to her, unsure of what we would see on the other side of the white door that was almost unnoticeable next to the white walls that enclosed the room.

"Welcome to the woman's unit."
