It's been a few weeks and I am back to playing hockey at my normal level. We have won all our games so far and every game Kennedy has played, she's gotten a shutout. It's been amazing. I'm still getting high grades in school and I'm getting a goal or multiple goals in every game I've played this season.

Kennedy and I have been going strong. We aren't dating yet, but we got back to seeing each other pretty well all the time. We've been getting to know each other better as well. I've been to her house more and I'm pretty confident her mom likes me. I haven't met her dad yet, but he's still away and hasn't been able to come back home. My mom likes Kennedy and my dad, well, he doesn't not like her. We are still working on him.

"Ready Kenny?" I go up to her and grin. "Ready Banksy!" She grins at me. I grin as I start skate backwards to centre ice and take one last look at her before I turn around.

"Better watch that goalie down there!" The other teams centre tells me with a smirk. "You guys aren't going to touch her!" I say as I glare at him. The chuckles and the ref drops the puck. I win the face off and pass it over to Dwayne for him to pass it back to me. I'm able to skate around the defence and do the triple deke on the goalie to go top shelf. I guess the guy trying to tell me to watch Kennedy wanted to score.

"Guess you better watch your goalie!" I tell him as I skate by him.

"Way to go Adam!" I hear coach yell from the bench. I look down by the glass behind Kennedy and I see my dad clapping. I grin a little and go to take the face off again.

We won 3-0. I was able to get 2 goals and Ken got the third goal. I'm glad we won. That means we are playing well, and we are also in first place still.

"You played well son. Nice to see you get two goals!" My dad says. "Not the first game I got 2 goals in one game." I tell him. "Only game I've seen you score two games in." He states. "Because you haven't stayed long enough!" I tell him. "Well maybe if you worked that hard, I'd stay longer." "Dad I always work that hard! You always leave after one or two period. You never stay for the third. Which is when I can get a second goal." I explain. I'm starting to get worked up a little. He's blaming him not staying on me. I've been working harder every year. And I have gotten better. "I don't know what's going on with you son, but you need to calm down!" He sternly states.

"Adam!" Kennedy's mom buts in between my dad and I. "Come with us!" She says and guides me away.

"Adam, are you okay?" Charlie asks. "Fine!" I state as I keep walking with Holly.

"What's going on?" Kennedy asks as she stays leaning on the hood of her moms car. "Adam and his dad got in a little argument in there. He's going to hangout at our house for a little while." Holly tells her. "You okay Adam?" Kennedy asks him. "I'll be fine!" I tell her. "Get in the car, we'll go grab something to eat!" Holly tells us.

I put my gear in the back of their car and go have a seat.

"Adam, are things okay with your dad?" Holly asks me. "We just disagree!" I state. "Adam, you two have been disagreeing since the day I met you. And probably even longer." Kennedy tells me. "He just wants me to be better than I can be." I tell them. "Adam, why don't you come stay at our house for a few days. It will give you and your dad some space for you both to calm down." Holly tells me. "I don't want to intrude on you two." "You won't be!" Kennedy tells me. "We need a man in the house, my husband is gone a lot so it will nice for you to be there!" Holly tells me. "Okay." I say with a grin. "Once get something to eat and back to the house, Kennedy can drive you to your house to get some close." Holly tells me. "Okay!" "And Adam!" "Ya?" "You can stay as long as you need!" Holly tells me. "Thank you!" I grin.

"Got everything?" Kennedy asks me. "Well, enough to last for a little." I tell her as I take a quick look at my room. "Let's go before your dad gets home." She tells me and grabs my hand. I take a deep breathe and walk out with her with my bag over my shoulder.

I sit in the passenger seat of Kennedy's car as we drive to her house. I just stare out the window the whole time.
