Safiya and I are on our to my bestfriends house,zainab's little brother is safiya's best friend according to her but I think there is something going on between the two of them anyways we reached the duplex in no time and I parked my car and entered with a salam

"Ah ah su zinatu ne a gidan mu; Ah ah zinatu is that you am seeing" zainab's mom beamed

"Ehh mama Ina wunu; yes mom how are you"I asked

"Lafiya qalau ya gida; fine how is everyone"she asked back

"Alhamdullilah everyone is fine'' I turned to see safiya looking down while blushing I was like okay oo you got a lot of explaining to do I said to myself..Hajiya fatima followed my gaze and saw safiya

" Ah safiya ba gaisuwa?; safiya won't u greet me?" She asked in a teasing voice

"A'a mama Ina wuni ;no mom how are you" she asked shyly

"Lafiya qalau my daughter;fine my daughter"

Safiya just muttered an Alhamdullilah looking all red I couldn't help but chuckle, just then we heard voices coming down the stairs while arguing

"You know you are the worst right" zainab said to fadil her brother

"Well you are no bett-" he stopped midway when his gaze landed on safiya who looked like an over-riped tomato,While zainab's gaze landed on me she ran like a mad person and hugged me so hard that my butt landed on the ground

"OUCH!" I yelped in pain

"Kai zainab didn't I tell you aren't a child anymore why are you behaving like this you boyfriend fa is coming next week for your hand in marriage" mom said in an angry tone

"Sorry Umma" zainab said sounding apologetic

"Wait I don't understand anything, zainab did mom just say you are about to get hitched?'' I asked in a high pitched voice

" YES " She said excitedly while doing a little dance

"Mara kunya kawai; shameless child, come my soon to be daughter let's go and talk let's leave them to their madness" mom said looking at safiya who choked on the water fadil gave her.Fadil was in front of her in a blink of an eye

"Umma fa see your son" zainab said and mom ignored her

"Habibty sannu kin ji;my love(I seriously don't know how to translate the 'sannu kin ji'😹)

" Am okay now mom" safiya said and they made way to the kitchen leaving me,fadil and zainab in the kitchen

"WTF girl your getting hitched and you didn't even tell me you had a boyfriend talk less of getting affianced!!" I said sounding both angry and hurt

"Am so sorry zina I didn't mean to keep it from you" zainab said

"Why didn't you tell me I thought we were best friends" I said sounding hurt..after a few seconds of silence I guessed she doesn't have a reason

So I just said "Allah ya Baku zaman lfy"

And she muttered a small Amin,while i went to the kitchen to tell safiya we are leaving

"Mom we are leaving" I said
"But you just got here" she said
"I know but mummy called and said we have something to do for her" I lied
"Okay" mom said sounding a bit down

I hugged her goodbye so as safiya and entered my car.Once am seated zainab said

"Am so sorry best its just that Sultan said I shouldn't tell anyone so that the invitation card to the will shock people" zainab said sounding a bit sorry

"Ummum" I said, just the name sultan made my lips automatically curved into a smile thinking of what he was doing I should probably call him when I arrive at home

"Zina" zainab said bringing out of my thoughts

"It okay I get" I lied with a small smile

"Looks like our husbands are namesakes" she joked and I chuckled to it

"Oh and can you please come next week Friday so that you can meet" she said nervously

"Sure I would love to see my in law" I said smiling then it faded upon remembering how ya Nabil loves her

"What happen" she said sounding worried

"Nothing just thinking about ya Nabil" I said and she mouthed an "Oh"

We said our goodbyes again and I went back to my father's house
