Bright lights flash before her eyes,
On a solitary stage that defies the skies.
A sea of ardent souls entranced--
Her ethereal form, dreamlike, danced.
Chasing starlight, she left behind,
Don't look back, don't turn around!
Out of sight, he'll be out of mind--
His love held her, chained to ground.
She was the wind in a desert storm,
He was the sun of spring's first kiss.
With eyes of flame, into cinders her norm--
She chose to fly, into fame's abyss.
Bright lights dance before her eyes,
On a golden stage, as cold as ice.
Hers the gale, force of changing tides—
His the undying fire, her heart resides.
