Author's POV
Breaking the hug they both looked at each other with love.
And when Karan started to lean closer to her Meera closed her eyes in anticipation.
Done you had a lash there he said pointing at her cheeks.
Meera opened her eyes when she felt his hand and her eyes widened when she heard him speak.
And blushed in realisation of her thoughts and shook her head.
You sit I'll bring you water saying Karan went to get her a glass of water.
And so she sat on the sofa as per his saying.
He passed the glass of water to her and she drank most of it.
You want more? He asked when he saw her gulping the water.
No thanks she replied.
Taking the sleeping Yash from the cot to his arms he too sat beside her.
Soon Yash woke up but he wasn't hungry so Meera played with him who was sitting in Karan's lap. And Karan just looked at them both with a smile. When suddenly Yash touched Meera's face with his little hand.
Aww my baby saying she kissed both of his little hands making Yash smile.
Oh god my baby's so adorable saying she couldn't help but kiss his cheeks. Looking at her kissing Yash's cheeks Karan blurted out
I want it too.
Meera's eyes widened hearing him.
Karan too realised he said it out loud by her reaction and said I meant water I want water too.
Meera nodded and went to bring him a glass of water as he had Yash sitting in his lap.
Bringing the glass of water she passed him and just as he took the glass and was going to take a sip looking at Yash to avoid the embarrassment. He felt a soft feather like touch on his cheek and looking at her fading figure he realised she just kissed him.
And a huge smile broke on his face. See I got it too he said to his three month old son who was curiously looking at his father.
Meera ran to her room blushing she couldn't help but kiss him when he cutely asked her saying he wanted it too. She knew he meant the kiss and covered it with water. She knew him and he would never do anything to make her uncomfortable.
Karan's POV
We had our dinner happily and now we are sitting together with sleeping Yash in her arms in the balcony under the moonlight.
Meera is busy looking at her moon and I'm looking at mine.
Looking at her who was busy looking at her moon I started to say
Never would I have expected this when Riya came into my life I had thought to give her a chance and when I got to know she loved someone else who treated her so badly I wanted to be there for her and baby but all my hopes for a happy life broke when we lost her. And then you came into my life unknowingly you had started to make your place in my heart. And now you rule it. And I wouldn't want anyone else to do so. You are my one and only.
And she smiled in response.
Meera's POV
I had been busy looking at the moon. I want to tell the moon that I have someone now who loves me , who is there for me and who looks for me in a crowded room only me.
Without any words we understood each other.
Looking at him I started to speak
After losing Ashish and my baby I was done with life. I had lost all hopes of a happy life when even my own family didn't want me.
But then I met Yash who was an unknown link to you. You who had no idea about my life my situation what I was going through. And still you gave me a job when I needed it the most.
It was really hard for me to open up after everything but with time with your love and support I eventually did.
You gave me hope, a hope to fly, a hope for love, a hope for a happy life which I thought I could never have.
You made me believe in myself, when I blamed myself for not being enough. You supported me to go and achieve anything I wanted when I had stopped my passion. You cared for me when my own family stopped.
So I just wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for just being you.
You are an amazing soul.
No don't thank me I'm the lucky one he said making my heart flutter.
How can you be this good ? I asked him.
Well all thanks to my parents I guess he said making me smile.
Yes I replied.
Suddenly we heard his phone ringing and he picked it up and put it on the speaker.
Hello Karan ? I heard Aunty's voice.
Yes Maa how are you ? He asked her.
Don't 'how are you' me and tell me what you are doing why didn't you tell me about you and Meera ? She asked.
What I.. How do you know Maa? He was confused.
I had called Adi and when we were talking about you he told me everything unlike you who took so much time to even impress my dear Meera. She said making me smile at her endearment.
This Adi... I'll see him he said getting caught making me chuckle.
No need for that and Meera are you there with him ? She asked me.
Yes Aunty it's me I said.
Meera my dear you don't know how happy I am knowing you guys are together you are right? She asked for confirmation.
Yes Aunty we love each other I said to her looking at him who was looking at me.
Oh my god yes God bless you both dear she said happily making us smile at her happiness.
Thank you Aunty I replied to her.
And Karan you better make her my daughter in law and if I heard you messed it up you are so gone she said to him.
Maa don't threaten me I wouldn't dare to mess it up he said looking at me.
Ok then bye Meera and Karan I'll go your father is calling me ok she said and we too greeted her and the call hung up.
Meera please don't mind Maa about the daughter in law thing you don't have to worry we'll take it at your pace he said looking at me.
I know I replied to him smiling at his concern.
And we looked back at the moon in the sky full of stars with him beside me I don't need to worry about a thing.
My head dropped on his shoulder and he put his hand on my shoulder shifting me closer to him with little Yash in my arms.
I could spend all my life like this with him and Yash I feel loved.
And I thanked God in my mind for giving me our love.For this chance, for him, for Yash and for us. As this was
