Facts About The Book

🍇 Ivy was almost a child of Hermes

🍇 The idea of Aphrodite making Ivy and Percy soulmates was just funny for me that I had to go with it. The good relationship Dionysus and Poseidon  have + Mr. D's attitude with campers (Perry Johnson) + Percy being Ivy's soulmate = annoyed father

🍇 I did think about killing Ivy off at the end because most demigods don't live long, but I just couldn't do it to Percy and Ivy

🍇 this took 3 months to write

🍇 I honestly love Ivy's and Dionysus relationship

🍇 killing Castor broke my heart. I grew attached to Castor and Pollux since the first chapter I wrote them into the story.

🍇the mood boards of Ivy and Percy have different fonts to represent their handwriting. I tried to find the closest font to Percy's handwriting in the books

🍇 honestly fell in love with Ivy's and Percy's game plan. Percy distracts and Ivy collects.

🍇 the first nickname I could think of for Percy was Shark Boy. I honestly have no clue as to why, but I felt like it fit him. I tried to think of other cute marine related nicknames but that one stuck.

🍇 Vine Girl was also the first one to come to mind after creating Percy's. I felt like it just flowed easily and it was a very Percy-came-up-with nickname in my opinion

🍇 the prologue was the easiest to write to kick off the story.

🍇 Percy noticed if Ivy slept or if she was sleep deprived by looking at her eye bags 😂 poor Ivy has sleeping problems when she's worried/stressed, so Percy always made sure to check to see if she was getting her beauty sleep

🍇 I honestly feel like the Dionysus cabin and Ares cabin got along, so I made Clarisse and Ivy friends

🍇 writing jealous Ivy was fun. When it came to Rachel, she made sure to address her by her full name up until they became friends

🍇 throughout the book, you're able to see how powerful Ivy grows with her powers

🍇 one of Ivy's greatest fears is being seen as weak

🍇 Ivy's mom moving on to have her "perfect family" was another one of Ivy's fears. She felt like she was holding her mother back from living life

🍇 Ivy meeting Lucy when she was younger was introduced only because Ivy grew up in California not that far away from Camp Jupiter. I felt she would have seen at least one Roman.

🍇 the hippalectryon from Triple G Ranch that kept pecking at rocks instead of feed was based of off Hei-Hei (the rooster from Moana)

🍇 Percy's and Ivy's first kiss was one of the first scenes that popped into my mind along with Ivy taking the knife for Percy and falling into Tartarus when thinking of the plot 🥰🥰🥰

🍇 Ivy running and seeing Castor first after believing Percy was dead was intentional since Castor would have only been written in the first act

🍇 writing Ivy's reaction to Castor's death was a little intimidating because I wasn't sure if I was capturing her grief correctly

🍇 throughout the book, Ivy am still felt guilty and responsible for Castor's death because she didn't get to him on time

🍇 Seth wasn't originally going to end up with Annabeth. I actually considered having her get with a son of Ares, but as I continued to write Seth into the story m they kind of just clicked so I let it be 😂

🍇 grapes can be dangerous. I really enjoyed using the grapes throughout the book to replicate a machine gun. Idk why but whenever I first pictured it, I was laughing so hard and had to write it into the story

🍇 Ivy and Percy both almost always say "I got you" after helping the other when they're tired, exhausted, and/hurt since the. Started in the prologue

🍇party ponies 🤝 children of Dionysus

🍇 I loved writing Percy and Ivy moments

🍇 I was planning their fall into Tartarus for like ever and when it came to writing it I was in tears

🍇 I had so many outcomes for the last act

🍇 personally love how Ivy and Leo pranked each other. Kind of wish I included more pranks

🍇 when it came to the brownie peach preserves, I knew right away that was something Ivy would eat only because I imagine her eating weird food combinations with her brothers.

🍇 I thought about including Seth in the prophecy of eight but had a hard time trying to include him so I backed away from the idea and kind of had it where he was kind of leading backing at Camp Half-Blood

🍇 blackjack and Ivy is a dream team lol

🍇 freaking love Mae. Pollux got the other leopard and he named him Cairo

🍇 Ivy lost her magical necklace in Athens, but it's a good thing Damasen made her a drakon-bone sword

🍇 I have a soft spot for Bob, Damansen, and Small Bob. Definitely cried when Ivy and Percy had to leave them behind

🍇 Ivy with root beer and Kool-Aid. I wanted to show that when Percy went missing and she was seriously sleep deprived that she was desperate to stay awake and have energy to work/look for Percy that she drank Kool-Aid for the energy and rush it gave her

🍇 almost had Annabeth be the one to fall in Act II when they were in Olympus until I remembered it was foreshadowing so I changed it to Ivy

🍇 never realized how much foreshadowing was in the book series until writing this fanfic

🍇 Act III was the shortest out of the acts, I had wanted to make it longer but I'll be honest, I got impatient and was ready for Ivy and Percy to meet again 😂

🍇 Ivy fighting throughout her time in Tartarus was her growing stronger with her powers because of how desperate and protective she was of Percy (vice versa)

🍇 Diet Coke and lime is sooo good btw so is the root beer with one packet of sugar and creamer

🍇 I originally planned on having Ivy more of a party girl because of her being a child of Dionysus but since she was at camp when she was in her teens I feel like it didn't really go. If she hadn't been a year round camper then I would have for sure

🍇 fell in love with the idea of Ariadne being motherly to Dionysus's children

🍇 Nico coming out and Ivy chasing him 👌🏽
