Those few days past by fast, Aki waited for the carriage on the steps of the mansion, the maids tidied his attire as they were worried for him

His smile faded, as he felt his father's footsteps getting closer, his heart beat as he broke out in a cold sweat

the carriage arrived, but he couldn't move as his father gently placed his hand on his shoulder, his back straightened as he inhaled sharply

"Aki. Do not mess up. I can feel it. Anytime you mess up a spell, I'll let you re-live that hell."

The duke lightly pushed Aki by his shoulder, like a puppet, Aki walked and boarded the carriage, looking as if he lost his soul, his breathing uneven, tring to calm himself down

Kuno looked at him confused as he thought to himself

'This.. is him..? Aki... Aki... that.. wretched man who sacrificed me.. why is he looking like this now..?'

As he thought, he decided to say something

"Aki Czeshz, sir, are you okay?"

"Ah-"

At that moment, Aki seemed to snap out of his trans, as his gaze turned to Kuno's, a faint red tint appearing on his cheeks as he heard his voice, his heart skipping a beat

'ah.. his voice is...'

Aki thought to himself, Kuno's voice was deep yet there was a soothing hint to it, waking him from the moment which his body felt out of control, there was a smell of sweet lavender in the carriage, most likely coming from Kuno

Kuno was a neatly tidied person, often trying out different cologne, even perfume, making lots of woman fall head over heels for him for his handsome appearance and that sweet scent he always has whenever he passes by, yet never had he thought while making the story that Aki would be one of the people to like him, especially everything he makes him do, and the fact that he has his heart- or had. While he was writing the novel, he did say that Kuno was attractive, but didn't go into the details, yet he never thought that Kuno would be attractive in a way that he was caught in a spiral, he couldn't seem to reply to him, and only laid his head low as he felt flustered

seeing this, Kuno held back his laughter

'Didn't he used to be so arrogant in my past life? What happened to his arrogant demeanor now? It seem like he's just flustered, how interesting'

Kuno thought to himself, laying back onto the seat as the carriage started to move, though, he was quite curious, Aki seemed to act differently from his past life, he used to be so cocky and arrogant, ordering him around like Kuno was some kind of peasant, even if their status was almost the same

'this isn't too bad though, seeing him all flustered just by talking to him, it's better than lending my back for him to step on to get on the carriage, well... if he still retains his old behaviours, I'll have no choice but to take my revenge on him... for leaving me to die whilst he fought over a girl..'
