The next few days, only minor conversations remained between the two, though quiet, Kuno seemed to always be looking out for Aki, he would carry Aki's things for him, not caring if Aki yells at him to put them down, things quickly got awkward after a few weeks more

"Hey" Aki said, knocking the door and opening Kuno's door, he peeked into the room, Kuno noticed him and invited him in

"I'm sorry for harming you.. Kuno"

Aki apologized as his voice reduced into a mumble, a brief silence remained before Kuno spoke

"No, I shouldn't have pried, how did you get those wounds though? Why didn't you heal yourself?"

Kuno asked, guilt washing over him as he picked up Aki's hand by the wrist, quietly observing his hands after he gained permission from Aki to take his gloves off

"... Healing won't work on wounds like this, it'll only close off the wounds but it'll only stop hurting for a while"

Kuno only nodded at Aki's reply before continuing briefly

"If you don't want to speak about it, then I won't pry any further"

He said firmly, embracing Aki in a hug, seeming to be a way to rid of the guilt that was pooling in him, For the next few days, they chatted away with glee, sharing about secrets and experiences, Kuno found it quite odd how most of Aki's failures were orientated around swordsmanship, and was never anything magic related, it never made any sense why he only talked about his sword fighting experience

Kuno borrowed a few scrolls  from the library, some of them even he couldn't do, but he was sure it would be Aki's first time doing them all, he laid them out on the table in the lounge, he waited for Aki to come out

"Hm? Are you practicing new scrolls?"

Aki questioned once he exited the bathroom, his hair still dripping with water as he placed the towel placed on his hair aside on the chair, sitting down in front of Kuno, he just nodded, smoothing out the scrolls as he let Aki try them out first

he handed the first one to Aki, he quickly scanned the scroll, taking a deep breath as he placed out one hand, the first spell was a levitation spell, "lɛvɪteɪt" he muttered the spell, and the things around them started levitating, including Kuno and Aki

Kuno felt astonished, a levitation spell was significantly different from a wind spell, it doesn't matter about the amount, nor the weight of the object, as long as you're in range, you'll float up, a truly astonishing sight indeed

whilst they floated in the air, Aki controlled one of the scrolls, making it float towards him, he read it thoroughly as he spun in the air, making Kuno laugh at his serious yet unserious attitude, after a while, he figured out the illusion spell and prepared to cast it

"Wait, two spells at once?"

Kuno exclaimed and gasped, his jaw hung open, Aki only giggled and pushed his jaw back up

"Tis merely an illusion spell, you might bump into something if you move now so stay put"

Aki said, "ɪˈluʒən" casting the spell, in a moment the room walls were replaced with a vast galaxy, Kuno couldn't believe his eyes, it was beautiful, no holes or mistakes could he see through this illusion, it's like the galaxy was right in front of him, if Aki hadn't told him it was an illusion, he might've believe in it already

snapping back to reality, Kuno said to Aki

"Here, can you cast this spell?"

he handed the scroll to Aki

opening the scroll, he read through it, it didn't seem too hard, Aki was sure he could do it

"sʌmən" Aki muttered, a black hole appeared behind him, and out came a small white fox that jumped onto Aki's shoulders, they played around with it for a while, it wasn't long until Aki felt fatigue, after all he was casting three spells at once

he removed the spells, remembering to place everything back to their places and having them land on their feet, he sat down as he rested, Kuno took this opportunity to take out another scroll he kept and handed it to Aki

"Oh? You had one more?"

"Yea, can you do it?"

"Of- of course I can!"

Aki said, feeling unconfident, consequences rushed his head, his father will know, but he couldn't reject Kuno's request, sighing, he took the scroll and read it carefully, his head was spinning yet he carried on anyways

Kuno smirked as he stood behind him, he just wanted to see his reaction, would he laugh it off or did he had someway else to cope with his failure, sneakily, he casted a spell that cut off others magic flow, "dɪskənˈtɪnyu..."

Aki who had no idea of this, casted the spell "kriˈeɪt"

it failed.
