"This would had been a great way to combine our empire! What's more? She was a great girl too!" He explained

"Do you have someone you fancy son?" He asked as I shook my head no
"Ahaha calm down both of you" Sabo tried to step in however dad didn't seemed like he will back off
"Look son, if you dont have someone you fancy, nor do You agree to marry beauties from around the world, who is it that you want to spend the rest of your life with?" He asked, Clearly worried

After that day I stopped having meals with him, it's annoying, all he does is blabber
"Why don't you want to have a fiance tho?" Asked Sabo, also confused
I took a deep breath
"I told you to not talk about stupid things!" I shouted at him
"But it's for the sake of the empire Ace!!" Scolded Sabo which didn't had any effect

I once asked him and Luffy, we three were pretty drunk that time

"Your son or daughter of course" Answered Sabo as if that's the most normal response

"What are you both even saying" Asked Luffy laughing,not getting the topic
"Sabo... If I tell you I don't plan on continuing my bloodline, what will happen?"
"YOU- WHAT??" He asked, almost getting Sober
"Ahaha I am joking...." I said in a sad tone, trying to reassure him

Maybe Sabo got the hint that day, however didn't dragged the topic after

"You told me to go greet that old fart for business matters however you were just messing around to let him see his daughter's husband!!" I almost cried
It wasn't a very big matter in others eyes.....I know... However the way he handled this situation made me angrier
"Ace.. I assure you, the girl I choosed, I have had her in my mind since a long time, however I didn't wanted to force you with someone just cuz I like them as my daughter..... I wanted you to choose and find for yourself the one you will find best.... However as You were not letting this process go through smoothly.... I had to step in son"

"WHAT THE FUCK IS EVEN THIS BULLSHIT??????" I shouted at the top of my lungs, so much that the king's guard Rayleigh had to step in to make sure I don't try to hurt the king

However before I was out of the room, the king said some last words to me
"You will see for yourself son... The girl I choosed.... She is special... As far as I saw.... She has the ability to win hearts Ace... Just meet her once and I assure you that You will fall for her" He stated with a very prideful voice
