Through the glass window, I watch you grow
From a tiny seed to a blossoming soul
With each passing day, you stretch and reach
Eager to learn, eager to teach
I see you stumble, I see you fall
But you never give up, you stand up tall
With determination in your eyes
You brush off the dirt, and reach for the skies
I remember the days when you were small
Holding my hand, afraid to fall
But now you walk with confidence and grace
Leaving behind your childhood days
Through the glass window, I see you change
From a child to a young adult, so strange

As you navigate through a world that's new
I see you make mistakes, and learn from them
I see you laugh, and sometimes condemn

Of who you are, and what's right
Through the glass window, I see you grow

I'll be watching through this glass divide
