Summer Night Drive

As darkness falls, the stars ignite,
A symphony of twinkling light.
I glide along, my headlights gleam,
Illuminating roads, a summer dream.

The air is warm, a balmy breeze,
Carrying scents of blooming trees.
Fireflies dance, their ethereal glow,
Guiding my path, a magic show.

The moon, a silver orb on high,
Casts shadows long, as I drive by.
The world transforms, a surreal sight,
Under the blanket of the night.

The distant hum of crickets' song,
A soothing rhythm, all night long.
The pavement glistens, wet with dew,
Reflecting images, both old and new.

I roll the windows down, to feel
The summer night's enchanting zeal.
The wind whispers secrets in my ear,
As I drive through darkness, free from fear.

Summer nights, a time to roam,
To lose oneself in the unknown.
To feel the wonder, taste the bliss,
Of a night drive, a stolen kiss.
