Chapter sixteen
the scorch trials

let's get into it

"Astrid are you okay?" I ask, noticing her looking pale, sweating, shivering, her pupils are dilated, and it looks like she is going to throw up

"No" She mutters looking around confused

"NEWT!" I yell

"I'm sorry Minho" She says

"For what? Astrid what are you sorry for?" I ask

"This" She mutters and lifts up her sleeve

Revealing black veins going up her arm, then she vomits

Black

"You're infected?! NEWT GET OVER HERE NOW!" I shout again

"You're gonna be fine" I say and shout for Newt again

"NEWT!"

"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!"

"ASTRID IS INFECTED!"

"Get away from her Minho" Newt finally comes over

"But-" I get out before she jumps on me

"Fuck!" I yell trying to get her of me

I finally manage to push her off, getting up and going behind Newt, everyone else rushes over, seeing Astrid lying on the ground

"Is she?" Frypan asks

"Yea..." Newt says

"Someone kill me!" She chokes out

"We aren't killing you Astrid, we will find a way" I say

"Newt" She looks up at him before running over to us, trying to grab me, but Newt pushes her off

Making her fall to her knees

"Newt....kill me.... KILL ME!.....Newt please" She shouts her hands holding on each sides of her head

"I can't" He says

"You promised me!" She yells throwing up again, she looks up at us

Her eyes are completely black, black blood dripping from her mouth, the veins have now travelled up to her neck

Tears start to form in my eyes, i can't lose her

"No one's killing you!" I shout

"DO IT NOW!" She cries out

"NO!" I shout and run over to her, i stand in front of her

"No one is touching her!" I yell looking at everyone

"Don't listen to him, Newt kill me, NOW!" She shouts standing up

"Astrid please" I beg looking at her

"I'm gonna end up hurting one of you" She shouts running over to me again, she grabs me and tackles me to the ground

That's before Newt runs over and hits her in the head, making her go unconscious, her limp body lies on me
