No one's POV

The first day of rowing was fine, Serena even took a little swim. But Gimli was not happy when she jumped back into the boat and shake her fur dry. Legolas just laughed with the hobbits as Gimli grumbled under his breath. Aragorn give her a stern look, but was trying not to smile. Now they are resting on a small island for the night before continuing on the following day.

Serena's POV

I was looking at the river when I see something on a log floating by and growl lightly. "Easy Serena" Ada says stroking my fur as he appears with Boromir. "Gollum, he has tracked us since Moria" he states. "I had hoped we would lose him on the river. But he's too clever a water-man" he explains.

"And if he alerts the enemy to our whereabouts it will make the crossing even more dangerous" Boromir states I growl. Ada strokes my fur calming me down as Boromir continues to speak. "Minas Tirith is the safer road. You know it. From there we can regroup, strike out for Mordor from a place of strength" he tells Ada.

"'There is no strength in Gondor that can avail us'"Ada and I tell him.

"You were quick enough to trust the Elves. Have you so little faith in your own people?" Boromir asks and I glare at him. "Yes, there is weakness. There is frailty. But there is courage also, and honor to be found in Men. But you will not see that" he states as Ada turns away, but Boromir grabs his arm and turns him. Making me growl lowly as Boromir shouts "You are afraid! All your life, you have hidden in the shadows!"

"Scared of who you are, of what you are" Boromir states in a calmer tone releasing Ada.

"I will not lead the Ring within a hundred leagues of your city" Ada tells him. "Come Serena" he adds walking away and I follow him. We lay down beside each other and fall into a light sleep.

(Next day) still Serena's POV

Today I decided to stay in the boat but am admiring my new collar. "Guess a lassie never changes even in different s species" Gimli states and I look at him confused. "They love to admire pretty things" he clarifies and I growl playfully.

'It's a gift from my great grandmother of course it's beautiful' I state.

"Frodo, Serena the Argonath! Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old. My kin" Ada tells us pointing to the statues up ahead. The whole fellowship look up in awe at the towering splendor of the Argonath. Two majestic statues proudly stand on each side of the Anduin. Their left arms are held aloft, their palms facing outwards in gesture of warning.

'It is beautiful Ada' I state and the others nod their heads in agreement. As we near a waterfall we row towards the western shore as orcs patrol the east one. The others start to set up camp pulling the boats out of the water.

"We cross the lake at nightfall. Hide the boats and continue on foot. We approach Mordor from the north" Ada states.

"Oh, yes?! It's just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil? An impassable labyrinth of razor sharp rocks! And after that, it gets even better! Festering, stinking marshlands, far as the eye can see" Gimli tells everyone.

"That is our road" I tell everyone as I lay down.

"I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength, Master Dwarf" Ada tells Gimli making me giggle. He walks away and Legolas follows him as Gimli grumbles to himself again. Merry and Pippin sit down either side of me. After returning with some fire wood.

"No dwarf need recover strength! Pay no heed to that, young Hobbits" Gimli tells them. But Merry wasn't paying attention and was looking around the camp. Sam had nearly fallen against a tree when Merry asks where Frodo is. Ada and I both notice Boromir was also absent.

"Serena find Frodo" Ada orders and I pick up his trail before taking off with Ada behind me. The hobbits stayed at the camp set while Legolas and Gimli search for Boromir. I just pray Boromir has not been taken by the ring and Frodo is unharmed.
