I woke up three weeks later in the middle of the night. Baeley was groaning.
"Babe." I whispered, touching her hand.
"Austin?" she said hoarsely, and I cried.
"Baby what's wrong, what happened? Stop crying." she wiped my tears away.
"Baeley you've been in a coma for almost a month."
"What? No I haven't." when she said that, my heart dropped.
I called the doctor in. "She doesn't believe she's been in a coma. She doesn't remember."
• • • (Baeley's POV)
My whole body hurt, every centimeter of it. My leg was in a cast, my ribs killed with every breath I took, and my face.. I could feel it was swollen.
"So I got hit?" I asked Austin, who had explained the story twice.
"Yes. You did."
"Why don't I remember?"
"Because you fractured your skull. I was afraid you wouldn't remember me." he kissed my forehead.
"I could never forget you, babe." I smiled.
It hurt.
I felt my eyelids close and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
