Everybody has gathered at the pack house. All looking helpless.
No one was happy. No one.
"Now, I would present Melody Green to the stage please." Jax said in a clear voice.
I was among the crowd.
Everyone clapped as she proudly walked up the stage.
Her long gown was like a wedding dress. So long, she wore heavy make up and 5 inch heels. Is she going to a ball?
Jax took her hand.
I whimpered a little.
She gladly took it and stood at the stage.
Everyone all sucked down their seats.
"Do you pledge to always put your pack first?"
"I do."
"Do you pledge always to protect your pack at all cost?"
"I do."
"Prove it!" I yelled form the crowd.
Jax and Melody turned their head to me. So did everyone.
I took out my cap and let down by hair.
Everyone gasped.
"Luna." One by one, they all bowed down to me.
"Hey! What are you guys doing?! Why are you calling her Luna?! I'm your Luna! I am! Why are you bowing to her?!"
"Oh stop with the shouting Melody!" I whined as I walked forward.
"You! Why are they bowing to you?! And how dare you call me my first name?! I'm your Luna! Your leader."
"Nah. Only Jax is my leader."
She gasped.
"You just called my husband his first name! You just disrespected your Alpha! Guards! Take her to the dungeons!"
I turned my head.
They all remained at their place. All nodded at me and smiled.
"What aren't you taking her away?! I said so!"
"She's our luna. Not you." A guard spoke up.
"How dare you." She snapped.
The guard said nothing.
"Baby, no one's listening to me. Do something!" She tugged on Jax's shirt.
"Tsk tsk. You can't even defend for yourself. You need a male to defend you. What kind of Luna are you?"
"Shut up! Jax is my husband, he'll listen to me!"
"Will he?" I raised an eyebrow.
She looked at Jax who stood motionless.
"Jax, come on baby. Send her to the dungeons, she has disrespected you and me, her Alpha and Luna." She pleaded.
"You're pathetic." I interrupted.
"Zip it! I'm still your Luna! I'm the luna of this pack."
"Prove it. We'll challenge for the luna position. 10 minutes ago, you pledge to protect your pack at all cost and with your life. And pledged to put them first. Fight me."
She smirked.
"I'm an alphas daughter you know? I'm giving you a chance to back down your offer. I can defeat you in less than 5 min."
