"So we have to keep walking until we find a motel?" Lainey asked
Mitch nodded "it's too risky to take the car, they all most likely been tracking her so when she stops someone else will be sent and they know what our car looks like" he explained
"He" she corrected "you keep saying them as in plural. We both know it's Just him" she explained
"Right" he nodded.
He grabbed their bags from the car, he handed Lainey her bag and she smiled lightly.
Mitch Grabbed everything he needed and slammed the door closed. He threw the keys and didn't quite care where they landed.. and so the walking began.
Lainey looked down at her phone trying to find some sort of direction towards the nearest motel. "Oh, there's a town a mile and half away" she told him
A alarm showed up on Lainey screen that read take pills Lainey stopped the alarm "what was that ?" Mitch asked
"I set an alarm to take my pill,"
"but I don't have any to take" she sighed
"Can you call and get a new one?" He asked
"I can try" she nodded. She looked down at her phone and the low battery symbol showed up "I'll wait till we find a place to stay, I don't wanna waste my battery"

After waking for about 30 minutes, they finally reached the town. Lainey was happy to hear some human noises, the walk with Mitch was rather boring and completely silent.
They walked into the towns bed & breakfast and straight to the receptionist "hi, could I get a room for 2 please?" He asked "2 singles" he added
"So the last single bed room was taken, but we do have a room with one bed" she told him
"Yeah sure" Mitch nodded
She smiled "and how long will you be staying?" She asked
"Just tonight"
"Alright, here's your key" she handed him "have a nice stay" she smiled politely
Mitch turned and seem Lainey on the phone. He assumed she was calling her pharmacist. He pointed his head and she followed into the elevator. The doors closed and silence once again filled the air.
"Hi, yes" Lainey spoke on the phone "I wanted to see if I get a new prescription for my antidepressants?" She asked
"May I ask why?" The woman asked
"Well you see, I'm visiting a friend and I left them at home, and obviously I can't go without them" she explained
"Ms, we just gave you knew ones last week"
"Yes but right now I'm a whole different place, that's at least a 9 hour drive away from my pills"
"We understand the circumstances, but you will have to come in for a check up."
"Are you listening?" Lainey asked "in not in Chicago right now. I'm in Charleston West Virginia" she told

"Would I really be able to call you right now if I was about to overdose?" Lainey asked
Mitches head turned and he looked at Lainey concerned. Lainey noticed his quick glanced but ignored it and continued with her conversation
She sighed "look, I'm in Charleston my pills are in Chicago and I don't know when I will be back there so either someone sends a fresh prescription to a drug store over here or I might actually be come suicidal" she explained.
"M-.."
The called ended and Lainey looked down at her phone "fucking battery" she mumbled as her phone died.
The elevator doors opened and Lainey and Mitch walked out. There room only being a couple feet away from the elevator they reached it quickly.
Lainey dropped her back on the bed and pulled out her charger, she plugged it in and plugged her phone in.
"Bad phone call?" He asked
"You have no idea" Lainey sighed "they won't give them to me unless they can see me" she explained
"Yeah I heard" he nodded
"no you heard me saying overdose" she rolled her eyes "It was a bad time, I was depressed and alone"
She stood up and headed towards the door
"Where are you going?" Mitch asked
"For a walk, I have my knife, and I'm only going to store to get some food because I'm fucking starving"
"I'll go with you"
"Mitch" she sighed "I just.. I need to be alone"
Right now all Lainey wanted was to walk around a town she barely knew and watch people go about their normal lives. She wanted to forget that a woman died by her hands today, she wanted to forget it all.
He shook his head "Well I need you alive"
"Mitch please. A lot has just happened and if I'm not allowed to go and get some air I might just go mad and I can clearly defend myself" she referenced back to Natalie.
"Lainey I can't do that" he shrugged
"Well you don't get a choice" she opened the door and left the room. She quickly locked the door and shoved the key in her pocket
Mitch pulled at the door and banged against it "Lainey!" He yelled "Lainey I swear to god"
"I'll be back in an hour" she told him through the door.
