— who is still up for read for read? i've been managing the awards
and struggling with homework so i didn't have time to post anything ♥️

Unrequited is my attention,
standing to glimpse the affection,
as my vision collapses into this colorful lake,
whilst the goldfishes pull at my silent wake;
and within the dark deep forest I do see,
the raging wolverines who look to me;
gnarling their fangs and baring their sheaths,
taking their jagged swords out of their heaths;
and so my orbits do widen in fear,
as upon me they do seem to leer;
as slowly towards me they creep,
while over the lake I stand and weep;
but suddenly a portal appears,
taking away all their sinful sneers;
with lights flashing in luminous gold,
telling the tales my stars foretold;
and from their danger I am taken away,
whilst they stand and drown in their own dismay;
as finally I have come to be saved,
by the lights which I all but paved;
glimpsing the girth of his smile,
and letting him bring me to love worthwhile.
