xxi. POSSESSED BY THE ESSENCE

44 31 5

And before my time has ended,
my feelings have attested.

My love like blistering embers,
is your only safety nest.

And before my time has ended,
my feelings have congressed.

In the chamber of my thoughts,
only you they do contest.

And before my time has ended,
I shed the tears that have been oppressed.

The conquest of my desires,
which most find to be a pest.

And before my time has ended,
my words must be confessed.

That in the cave where my heart lies,
there lies only a whirlpool of distress.

So where shall I go to stop these fears,
where shall I go to stop these tears?

Because there is nowhere for me in this place,
these problems, alone I must face.
