I didn't sleep

I was waiting or Umar to come back

I felt like I needed to apologize

I didn't know why

It was about 2 am when I heard the sound of the front door

15 minutes later I was in front of his door

I did a soft knock before I slowly opened the door

He was seated on his bed

His eyes closed and he was leaned against the frame of the bed and his legs stretched on front of him

I went on the bed and I moved close to him

I knew he wasn't asleep

"I'm sorry" I said

His eyes were still closed

I crawled towards where his legs were kept and I sat down before I placed them on my lap

That caused him to open his eyes

"Now can you please talk to me?" I asked as I massaged his right foot

His face held no expression

It was literally blank

His eyes were set on me the whole time

Something on his light grey shirt caught my attention

It was a big red mark

It looked like blood

How did I not notice that before

I moved forward until I was seated on his lap, without me even realizing it

"What are you doing?" He asked

I pressed on the red mark and his face showed pain but he didn't wince or anything

"Remove your shirt" I said

"No"

I frowned at him before I tugged at the bottom of his shirt, raising it up

I stopped raising it when I saw a big bleeding scar on his chest

I gasped

"Umar!" I exclaimed

I helped him remove the shirt over his head

I stood up from his lap and I rushed out of the room

I remember seeing a first aid kit in the kitchen

I picked it up and I went back into the room

I sat beside him and I took an alcohol pad I found in the kit and cleansed the wound

I could see that it hurts from the way his eyes closed occasionally

I gulped

"Sorry" I whispered

I rubbed an ointment I found too before I wrapped the wound in a bandage
