There was a knock at the front door. Uk pushed away his chair as he stood up from his desk. That'll be them Uk thought nervously.

He opened his office door that led to the living room and walked down the hall leading to the front door. France had beaten him to it and she was hugging her sons, Canada, New Zealand who they nicknamed kiwi and Australia. America hadn't arrived yet but Britain kind of expected that from him.

"Hello Father! How are you?" Canada asked as he walked over to give his father a hug.
"I'm... okay Canada thanks for asking," Britain said  very tiredly. Canada gave a bit of a concerned look at his father. He wasn't in his normal full grey suit and he wasn't wearing his monocle, Just a plain white blouse with a loose tie and grey trousers. He still had his top hat but that was about the only normal thing about his outfit. He looked very tired like he hadn't slept in a while, something wasn't right and Britain was not okay.

"How are you, Canada?" Britain asked
"I'm good father, thanks for asking." Canada replied

"G'day dad! Long time no see!" Australia said quite loudly. A bit too loudly for Britain's liking and it sent a ringing in his ear. Ever since the arguing in his head he's been quite sensitive to loud noises.
"Good day to you too Australia, you seem quite excited." Britain said to Australia ignoring the ringing in his ears. Australia gave a big smile in response which made Britain smile too, it was nice to spend time with his kids and see them smile.

"Hi father!" New Zealand said and hugged Britain
"Hello New Zealand" Said Britain. New Zealand was the youngest in the family and America was the oldest, although he had inherited his fathers shortness and was smaller than Canada and a little bit shorter than Australia.

"How about we all head in to the living room and catch up in there" France suggested.
"Good idea I'll make tea does anybody want something other than tea?" Britain asked he had to get used to the fact that not everybody liked tea although he didn't understand why. It was an amazing drink.
"A cup of tea would be lovely dear"
"I'm good with tea"
"Same"
"Me too!" Everyone agreed on tea. This is the tea family after all.
"Good I'll grab some biscuits as well" Britain said and headed off to the kitchen.

As Britain was making the tea he heard his kingdoms fighting again.
"Tea!"
"Whisky!"
"Tea!"
"Whisky!"
What a dumb thing to fight about they are really unstable if they're fighting about every little thing. Britain finished making the tea and put the tea in four tea cups each with a different design on them to show which countries it is. He added milk in all of them except one as France likes to have her tea black aka no milk making the tea look black
(I'm not being racist)
He opened the cupboard and grabbed his favourite rich tea biscuits and some chocolate digestives. He opened the fridge to put the milk away and spotted a bottle of whisky he looked at the label Glenfiddich distillery...fine Scottish whisky he for some reason craved the whisky. This will be Scotland's doing Britain thought.

The problem with being split between four countries is that they all have different opinions on things, although Wales and Northern Ireland were never much of a problem Scotland and England were complete opposites. It always led to an argument that ended in them becoming even more further apart and closer to independence for the countries. If you refuse to give a country it's independence it will cause a war but when the countries make you and are in your head making decisions for you then not giving them independence and leaving it for too long can lead to an entire separation. Which would not be good for Britain. He has a lot of responsibilities to deal with and doesn't want his country to be ran by four lunatics who can't make a decision on anything.

Britain grabbed the bottle of whisky out the fridge and carried it on a tea tray with everyone else's tea. He walked into the living room everyone was sitting on the sofa's and chatting. He put the tea tray on the coffee table that the sofas surrounded. he grabbed his tea and the bottle of whisky. Everyone gave a confused look at Britain except from France who obviously knew that his kingdoms were causing him problems again. He gave an embarrassed smile and left the bottle by his foot for now. Great job Scotland Britain said in his head sarcastically.

Everybody was quietly drinking their tea. No one knew quite what to say. The awkward silence was broken by a knock at the door.
"That must be America!" said France. Everyone got up to greet him except Britain who while everyone was focused on the door took a quick swig from the bottle.
"You just can't help yourself can you Scotland greedy pig!"
"Shut up England! I don't know why you won't let me leave all you do is complain about me being here!"
Can you two shut up! Britain thought clenching his fists he wanted to punch both of them but couldn't so he just sighed and headed to the door to greet America.

"Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late traffic was slow." America shouted he was the loudest of the bunch which was bad news for Britain who's ears started ringing again.
"Bonjour mon fils! No need to apologise America as long as your here that's fine." France said hugging her son.
"Hey bros!" America said turning his attention to his brothers
"Hello America."
"Hey brother."
"G'day mate." they all responded. America looked at his dad. He'd never been as observant as his little brother Canada but he could instantly tell something was wrong with the look of his dad
"Hey old man! You don't look like you usually do, you ok?" America asked Britain. Britain looked quite taken aback he didn't expect this question from America.
"Oh yeah, America I'm fine thanks for asking just... trying something new, that's all." Britain said adjusting his tie. He only did that when he was nervous but America decided not to focus on that right now.
"So what did I miss?" America asked as they all sat down in the living room.
"Nothing much sweetie we were just chatting and having a nice cup of tea that Britain so kindly made." France said drinking some more of her tea.
"I'm pretty sure there is a bottle of coke in the fridge if you would like some America I know your not big on tea." Said Britain smiling tiredly at his son. The kingdoms were fighting again but he was trying his best to ignore them but he couldn't ignore the feeling of sickness building in his stomach.
"That would be great dad!" America said and started to get up, but Britain stood up way faster than him and said
"No, no I'll get it, you catch up with everyone else, ok?" America knew this wasn't an option so he nodded his head and sat back down in his chair.

Britain walked fast into the kitchen and headed straight to the sink he leaned over and coughed up the horrible black liquid. He'd seen this before with other countries when they fell apart like The Roman Empire and The Soviet Union it was a horrible thing to experience and he felt sorry for the other countries it had happened to, he didn't know it was this bad. He finished coughing up the rest of the black liquid and took deep breaths he turned around.

France was standing in the doorway. Her empty tea cup in her hand. She looked as though she was about to cry. Shoot Britain said in his head.
