Ty nodded, and leaned back as the chair reclined. "Open Ty." Anton said, and he quickly assessed the damage to my brother's mouth. He finished looking around, and pulled his tools out of Ty's mouth. "You knocked a tooth loose and chipped a tooth." Anton said to Ty. Ty groaned. "It's not that bad Ty." Said Anton. "To fix the chip is easy, and for the loose tooth I'll just splint it, and when you come back I'll remove the splint, alright?" Anton said to Ty. Ty groaned and nodded. "Open for me buddy." Said Anton. Ty sighed, and opened his mouth wide for Anton. He fixed the chip easily, but when he went to fix the loose tooth, it was hurting Ty. "Ty, I need to move the tooth into the right position before I splint it, and it might hurt." Said Anton. "Do you want some pain medication or do you want to try with out it?" He asked Ty. "Pain medication with a needle?" Ty asked, and Anton nodded. "I'm sorry buddy, that's the only kind that will help with this." He said. Ty sighed. "I'll try without it." He said. He opened his mouth, and Anton started to reposition his tooth, when Ty screamed in pain. Anton stopped, and Ty closed his mouth. "I'll get you some pain medication Ty." Anton said, prepping a needle, while Ty groaned. "Open for me buddy, let's get you out of pain, ok?" Anton spoke, comforting Ty. Ty opened his mouth, and Anton injected the numbing medication next to his tooth. He waited a minute, and then went back to work. He positioned Ty's tooth, and make a splint to hold it in place. He then rinsed out Ty's mouth, sucking up all the blood. Ty was about to get up, but Anton held him down. "What?" Ty asked him, confused. "You're gonna need a couple of stitches in your lip Ty. I'm just gonna do that quickly, and then you're done. Are you still numb?" He asked my brother. He nodded, and Anton stitched his lip closed. He gave Ty instructions on how to care for his mouth, and we left, with Ty thanking Anton. We drove home, and put our stuff away. "I'm sorry that's how things turned out Cam." He said, looking at me. "It's fine." I said, smiling. "Anton seems nice." We went into the house, where Mitchell, Finn and Gabe were sitting at the table, talking. Gabe looked up at us, and gasped when he saw Ty. "What happened Ty?" He asked Tyler, standing up and walking over to him. "Nothing." He mumbled, and tried to walk away, but Gabe stoped him. "Ty what happened? You have stitches in your lip." Gabe said again. Tyler sighed. "Me and Cam were playing roller hockey with one of my buddies, and I fell. That's all." He said, and tried to walk away again, but this time, it was Finn who stopped him. "Did you hurt any of your teeth? Can I take a look?" Finn said, and Ty groaned. "I chipped a tooth and knocked one loose, and no, you can't take a look." He said. "How do you know that? Just let me take a look, I can help." Said Finn. "I already went to the dentist, ok?" Tyler exploded. "He fixed the chip and splinted the loose tooth. I'm fine!" He exclaimed. "Why didn't you come to me?" Finn asked. "I could have helped." "Because it's fucking weird to have your older brother poking around in your mouth!" Yelled Ty. "Ever wonder why no one else in the family except for Cam sees you guys? It's really freaking weird!" He exclaimed. "No offense, you guys." He added on. Mitchell shrugged. "It's fine." He said, unaffected. Then Charlie walked into the room. "Why are you guys yelling?" He asked us all. Ty glared at Finn. "Finley was just wondering why I didn't see him when I had to go to a dentist." Ty deadpanned. Charlie sighed. "It's just really fucking weird, to have your brother, who's only two years older than you, poking around in your mouth." Ty explained to Charlie. "He is kinda right, Finn." Charlie said. "It is weird, that's why we all have our own doctors that we see. I know you only let Mitchell check your teeth, but me, Gabe, Mitch, Nate and Kade see Dr. Williamson for our teeth, and Ty sees Anton. Cam is the only one who sees you. I don't know why, that's just the way it worked out." He said. "Fine." Finn said, and walked out of the room. "Why is he so mad?" Nathan asked, walking into the kitchen. "I don't even know." Charlie sighed, before leaving. I looked at Mitchell, hoping he knew why. Mitch sighed. "He just wants to protect his family, and when we don't want his help, he feels useless." Mitch explained. I nodded, and leaned up against Ty. "I hate having medical brothers." I mumbled into him. "I know you do Cam, but we can't just all switch jobs. It's what we've chosen to do with our lives, and it's not changing anytime soon." He said, hugging me. "I don't like having Finn as my orthodontist." I said. "I know." Ty said. "I'll talk to Charlie about switching." He said. "Are you ok with Mitch being your regular dentist?" He asked me, and I nodded. I loved having Mitch as my dentist, even though I was scared. Mitch is one of the most gentle people on the planet, and even it he hurts me in the tiniest way, he apologizes a million times. "Are you ok with Mateo being your doctor?" He asked me, and I nodded again. Mateo has always been Gabe's best friend, and I grew up with him, so naturally trusted him. When he decided to go to med school with Gabe, I didn't stop trusting him. Tyler started tickling me, and Nate joined in, and he picked me up and carried me over to the couch, where he put me down. He put Mario cart in the Xbox, and we started racing, and just played video games for the rest on the afternoon. Soon Charlie started making dinner, and then we stopped playing video games, and got up to get some food. Soon we were all at the dinner table, and Finn stood up. "I have a favour to ask of all of you." He stated nervously. He glanced at Mitch, who started talking. "Me and Finn we're thinking about hiring two more people at our office." He said. "We narrowed down our applicants to five people." He explained. "What does that have to do with us?" Asked Kade. "I was getting there Kaden." Mitch said, and Kade cringed. We don't know why, but Kade hates his real name, Kaden, and shortened it to Kade. "We need to test our applicants somehow, and what better way then to have them perform a basic exam? But we needed people. And that's where you guys come in. Can you guys just be patients for this? Please? This is the last step before hiring them, and we want to make sure that you guys like them." Said Mitch. I looked around the table, seeing my brothers' reaction. Charlie was nodding, so was Gabe. Ty looked sceptical, and so did Nate, and I couldn't read Kade. "Sure." Said Gabe and Charlie. "I don't want a random person poking around in my traumatized mouth." Whined Ty. "Ty, they're all extremely qualified, I promise." Finn reassured him. "Fine." Tyler agreed, and then it was just me and the junior twins who hadn't agreed yet. "Wait, you guys said there were only five applicants, that means I don't have to do it." I said, but Mitch shook his head. "Cam, you're the final level. After they've gone through their first patient, the two who we are most likely to hire will give you a check up. It's perfect, because we will get to see how they react to a scared patient." Finn said. "I don't know..." I said. "Please Cam." Mitch said. "We'll be watching the entire time, and you don't have to cooperate with them." Mitch said smirking. "You can give them a difficult time." He said, with a smirk on his face. That perked my interest. "Alright, I'll do it." I said. "Great!" Exclaimed Finn. "You'll probably have an appointment with them in three to four weeks." Finn said. Then, we all looked at Kade and Nate, who had yet to agree. "Please you guys? I'll help you study or something, please?" Begged Finn, and eventually they both agreed. We finished eating dinner, and went to different parts of the house, but Finn grabbed my arm gently. "I'm sorry Cam, but I gotta tighten your expander." He said, and I sighed. "I know Cammy, it sucks." He said, and I leaned into him. He picked me up, carrying me over to the couch, picking up the key on the way. He sat down cross legged, and placed my head in his lap. "Can you open Cam? I want to see something." Finn said, and I opened my mouth. Finn took a quick look, and picked up the key. "Tell me when it starts to hurt Cam." He said, and I nodded. He started with the retainer expander, and it was a while before it started to hurt. I whined, and he stopped. "That was pretty far, Cam. I'll leave it like that, and take a look tomorrow, alright?" He said, and I nodded. Then he started on the bottom. He made five rotations before it started to ache, and I stopped him. He took the key out, and pulled me into a hug. "You did great, Cam. I'll take a look tomorrow, but it looks good." He said, and I nodded onto his chest. "I know I don't always say this Cammy, but I love you. I love you so so much, and I would do anything for you." He said, looking me in the eye. I cuddled into him, and relaxed. "I love you to." I mumbled, and got comfy, before I fell asleep.
