On The Phone With Eita

You: Hey, you said that you guys needed a manager right?

Eita: Yeah? Why?

You: I want to be the manager.

Eita: Eh?! Why? You just recovered from your accident! You need to rest!

You: You know me! I can't sit still and not do sports. Plus I want to support my best friend!

Eita: Do you know where the second gym is?

You: Yeah?

Eita: We're in there.

You: Alright, tell your coach I'm on the way!

I hung up and started to walk to the second gym. I walked in to see Eita and some super tall guys talking and practicing. He noticed me and came up to hug me.

Tendo: Ooh~ is this the precious girlfriend~

Eita: No actually, this is my childhood best friend [y/n]. She wants to become the team manager.

I got a bunch of looks from the whole team. The first years seemed to be blushing bright red, while the others were only a little pink.

Reon: Don't creep her out Tendo.

Eita: Anyways~ she's a first year just like us. She used to play soccer but she now wants to become the team manager.

I made eye contact with the coach. He seemed super scary and he came up to me. He started to examine me and gave me weird looks.

Washijo: Who are you?

You: [L/n] [F/n] sir. I got into this school on an athletic scholarship and also for my grades.

Washijo: How tall are you?

You: About 5'5 sir.

( The amount of comments I get about the height. Homie I'm sorry if you're 6' or 4'10. You're 5'5 today.)

Washijo: What happened to your leg? You seemed to be walking funny when you first got in here.

You: I broke my ankle super badly before the year started sir. It's still in the process of healing.

Washijo: You played soccer?

You: Yes sir. I know lots about volleyball as well.

Washijo: how long until your ankle is fully healed?

You: In about a month after my physical therapy. Till then I can walk normally, just can't run.

He examined me more and asked me more and more questions. The guys on the team seemed to be listening the whole time.

Washijo: Welcome to the team.

I thanked him and told him I'd do my best. He told the guys to start warming up. He first asked me to fill all their waters and then to come back into the gym.
