Ch. 10 "Daddy's Here"

                                                          Steve POV 

I see Brooke fast asleep on the monitor, which I let a sigh of relief, I look at the clock, 

11 o'clock, if she can sleep for at least a half hour that would be good, I thought as I sat it down on the table, 

"Kid keeps you on your toes huh?" Bucky said 

"Yeah, pretty much, but she's been having nightmares," I said 

"What about?" Bucky asked 

"I don't know she said she dreams about bad men that will hurt me," I said 

"Sounds tough," Bucky said 

"It is," I said 

Then I see the motion on the monitor and see Brooke gasp awake, 

"Daddy..." She said crying, 

I got up making my way to her room, she was clutching her toy crying, I picked her up, her arms around my neck, 

I rubbed her back, as I soothed her, 

"It's alright my little star I'm here," I said 

                                           Bucky POV 

I watched on the monitor as Steve rushed in picking Brooke up gently, as he tried to soothe her, as the tears rolled down her cheeks, 

Poor kid I know what it's like to have nightmares, 

I wonder what her nightmares are about? I thought 

                                                     Brooke POV

Daddy rocked me as I was in his arms, 

"It's alright Daddy's here, Daddy's got you," Daddy said 

My crying slowed down, as daddy rubbed my back, 

"Come on lets get get you something to drink okay," Daddy said as we walked out of the room, 

Daddy took me to the kitchen setting me in a chair and giving me some milk, 

after drinking it all I walked around looking for someone to play with, 

I found Bucky, 

"Hey squirt," Bucky said 

"Hi Bucky," I said smiling at him as I approached him
