Chapter 20

Siddarth 's pov :

I walked through the entrance as I think I forgot it on our table.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't noticed someone coming.

I was bumped into someone, I turned to see that it was a girl.....

She was about to fell down...... Instinctively my hands wound around her waist.

I was observing her..... She closed her eyes tightly and was shivering, may be she was waiting for the fall.

She is looking so pretty and cute...... I just want to pinch her button nose.

Her lips are full...... As she pursed her lips, it was looking like an invitation to bite them.

I literally forgot about the whole world and was just seeing her.
She slowly opened her one eye.
As soon as she saw me her eyes widened. May be she didn't expect anyone to catch her. She was shivering in my arms.

Her beautiful doe eyes are screaming innocence.

I had an urge to protect her from everything.

We were standing so close to each other..... Her body sticking close to mine.

I never felt such sensation even when other girls were close to me......
I ignored that feeling.

She slowly took steps backwards, may be to keep distance between us.

She was still looking at me. Is she checking me out?

That thought brought an evil smirk on my face.

I still didn't take back my hands on the waist..... I just tightened my hold on them.

She looked flushed....... I like these red cheeks of her..... She is slightly tanned but when she was blushing the redness of her face is easily seen.

She looked at me and then at my hands..... She is signalling me to remove my hands......

I don't want to do that..... I want to stand close to her.

But reluctantly I removed them.

She immediately took a step back and maintained distance between her and me.

She is looking flustered...... I said
" I'm sorry.... "

Not because I bumped into her but for having unholy thoughts on her.

She just said "It's okay. " and looked like she was about to run away from me.

I felt sudden raise in my anger.
I got hold of her wrist..... She looked questioningly at me.

I said "You should be the one apologizing for me"while gritting my teeth.

She looked frightened.

But said sorry.

I was about to say it's okay.
But she didn't wait for my response. She ran away from there to her friends.

Her friends were laughing at her.....
            
Not wanting to get a title like STALKER. I left from there, went to reception and collected my mobile.

They were already gone when I returned.

I went to my friends..... Ravi was carrying a bag.

I asked
"What is that? "

Ravi said "My girl's gift for me. "

I scoffed at his proud face. He is showing off for having a girlfriend.

We all returned to hostel in our bikes.

As soon as I laid on my bed, I got a call from Dad.

I said " Hello Dad how are you? "

He said " I'm fine beta"

But he sounded tensed.
I asked "Why are you tensed Dad? What's the matter? "

He took a deep breath and said
" Beta come to home immediately..... Even bring Priya with you. Grandma 's health is not good. Doctors said she doesn't have much ."

I couldn't say anything, more like I felt like crying.

I spent most of my childhood with my grandma as my parents used to be busy with their jobs.

Dad asked "Sid.... Are you fine? "

I just said "I'm fine dad. We will come in 2 hours. "

I said and hang up the call.

I took my keys and called Priya.

She said
"Hello Anna. "

I said "Priya.... We are going home. Come down stairs. I am waiting for you. "

She asked "What happened Anna?"

I said "Grandma's health is not well. Dad asked us to come home."

She hang up the call.....

After 5 minutes I saw her running towards me.

She sat on the backseat.

We reached home after 2 hours due to traffic.

I entered the house I can see few relatives in the house.
I thought may be they came to visit Grandma.

I quickly walked past them and went to Grandma 's room.

I can see her. She is looking pale and lifeless. It's painful to see her like this.
She was always playful.

I went to her and hugged her.....

I asked dad about her condition.

He said
"She had chest pain last night......so we took her to hospital. Doctor said it was heart attack. "

I asked with voice full of hope
" Can't we give medication and start treatment. "

He said " Doctor said her body won't support for treatment as she is weak. Even with medication we can only manage for 10 days."

A tear escaped from my eye..
My mom came and hugged me.

My grandma is very close to me...... She was the one who said bed time stories for me.

Even when I'm in college I regularly call her to know about her health.

I sat beside her and held her hand.
She gave me a weak smile.

She caressed my face and said
" Sid... I have a wish.a final wish. Will you fulfill it? "

I said "I will Grandma... But you have to promise me that you won't leave us. "

She said "You know I can't stay here forever. "

I said "Whatever may be your wish I will fulfill it grandma. "

She said "My wish is to see you get married. "

My eyes widened at her words.

I never thought about marriage.

All my thinking about future has always been about my profession.

But I can't say no to grandma 's wish.

Suddenly a innocent face popped up in my mind.

No no....now I have to get married to someone else so it is better if I forget that girl.

I said "OK grandma... I will marry who ever you wish. "
