Adam and Jamie were just finishing up the paperwork from their last interview of the day when the HR Clerk, Sue, came along with a pile of documents for them both. "You two are my last stragglers" she said as she dropped the piles in the centre of Adam's desk where they had been working.
"What's this?" Jamie asked, picking up a pile and flipping through the pages.
"This" she said "is your vacation paperwork. You know, that stuff that I have been emailing you both daily about for the past two weeks" She narrowed her eyes at them and they had the good sense to keep their heads down.
"Right" Adam said. "Can we get it to you tomorrow?" he asked and got a loud huff in reply. He looked over to Jamie. "I'll see if Finn can pick up Sam. If we get started, it should only take about a half hour"
"Thank you" Sue said. "As soon as you get this to me then I can move on to the next thing that I'll have to chase you two for" and she turned on her heel and walked away.
They were half-way through when Adam got the call from Finn. It took Jamie only a moment to hear Adam's side of the conversation before he got on the phone to Sue and promised, on his first-born male child's head, that they would have the paperwork to her first thing the following morning.
