Chapter 6

Avery's POV:
 
"Yeah I know" I said, we continued walking as the school came into view, we walked past the other students and saw some of them huddled over a small memorial of the student who recently passed. I felt bad, but couldn't really feel grief since we have never spoken before, "poor girl" James said interrupting my thoughts "Yeah..." I said, I turned my head towards the entrance of the school and through the big corridors, "sooooo- what class do you have to go to today?" James asked, " I have art today" I responded "how come the first classes you go to any day are classes that have to do something with drawing?" James asked, I shrugged in response looking down at my phone to see how much time we have before class starts, " we have 30 mins before class starts,wanna kill some time?" I said, " yea- lets head to where the lunch room is" James responded. I nodded my head as we walked towards that direction. We got closer to the lunch room and decided to stop near the vending machines since James boyfriend Josh was there, Josh was a good guy and really funny the only problem is I can barely hang out with him because he is one of the popular kids and girls usually trample over me which I hate, I don't like going to the nurses office every time I hangout with Josh. "yo" Josh said "sup" I replied "heyyy" James said dragging out the y I looked at the two couple has they start kissing " guys I know y'all are a great couple, but I rather not go to detention because y'all are making out like last time" I said laughing a little, " they both broke away and apologized. " No need to apologize I think y'all look cute together just kiss where the teachers won't see yo-" I said, but was cut off- "hey Josh!" Sidney said, 'why' I saw that James wasn't really happy with her being here, which I sorta get it I mean i've never been in a relationship so- I'm kinda oblivious to dating, but Sidney does have a large crush on Josh it's pretty obvious. I looked at Josh and saw his face showing discomfort- "Sidney! Why are you here?" I asked trying to lighten the mood, she looked at me and smiled before pushing me aside to get close to Josh, "oh, there's not really a reason" Sidney said, we both know it's a lie- she's mostly popular because of her family- her family owns a big company so- yeah you can guess she's loaded with money though I do feel sorta bad for her since people manly like her because of her parents money and looks- I looked to see that she was inching closer to Josh, James looked beyond angry his face was basically a red ornament- " uh- let's head to class it's about to start anyways" I said . " yeah your right, well i'll see y'all later" Sidney said, Josh looked at me with a thankful face "thanks Avery you really know how to help a friend out" Josh said, James nodded in agreement, "yeah, but we really need to head to class it's 11 mins until class starts and I walk really slow" I said, we all went our separate ways as I headed towards art class, a close second to my favorite class- I finally made it to class only 3 minutes before class starts. I sit in where I usually do in this class which is near the window because I like the view, I got my supply ready, and looked up to see a bunch of students flooding in and getting ready before the teacher walked in closing the classroom door , "alright class, I hope all of you remembered to finish the project that was assigned to you last week" our teacher said, i already finished the project and looked at it proudly, the assignment involved building and technology the technology teacher and art teacher both agreed to work together to make this assignment- which was to build a miniature animatronic and make any design, I know it's a weird assignment for a bunch of kids in 10th grade, but we both have separate buildings one for College Careers and another for math,english,etc.  Right now we where in College Career pathways , and we had our animatronics out- mine was a bunny while others was mainly a wolf or a dog-  I used to have a pet bunny so this is sorta a remembrance of my past pet, that might come off as creepy, but my friend recommended- the animatronic was black and some of it's fur had patches of hot pink, it also had a smile, and a top hat- top hats are my favorite they remind me of my favorite show  which was Gravity falls- in my opinion the best show, but thats off topic of my characters design. I named the bunny Pink- yeah real creative Avery, but thats all I could think of really, and it holds a mini microphone and is basically a small radio- I guess, it can also dance which is pretty cool in my opinion, but besides the point we had to show the blueprints and explain the whole thing which just seems like a whole bunch of work- "Avery, may you please approach" the teacher asked out loud, 'sweet I get to go first' I got up and walked towards the desk ready to present my whole project

Avery's POV:
'Looks like everything turned out well with the project' it seems like I was the only one in the classroom who got a one hundred on my project and because of that my teacher said I could leave early which i gladly accepted since my other class was really far away-
