A/n - Listen to it before/after/while reading to get similar vibes as me, when I was writing this :)

Those frightful moments when I was waiting for Rutu to wake up, taught me something. I can not be afraid of losing what I don't have. And I should not be afraid of anything. Getting to know someone, or liking their company is not a crime, no protocols matter in front of a chance to connect.

As the minutes trickled by, my walls ceased to exist. Sometimes fear of losing someone leads to the ultimate awakening. It makes you aware of the truth in the lines, "Kal ho na ho..."

Yes, things aren't certain. Yes, we're required to maintain a professional relationship. But my heart aches for his company. I have begun to cherish him with no plans of stopping.

The past week has been tremendously satisfying. We know each other's schedules by heart now. Each taking care of the other's time table before stopping by their office or room. We've ridden in my car, had coffees on the terrace, and chatted on phone when we had no means of meeting.

It is a marvellously comfortable routine, I tell you.

And today we have another addition to the routine because Rutu and Sai are supposed to shoot a "You laugh, you lose" video on cricbuzz's demand, which is supposed to be aired on their YouTube channel around 6 in the evening.

After the elevator incident, my team has become aware of our friendship hence no one is surprised when I take the responsibility of the shoot. There are a few murmurs but honestly, I don't care.

They're almost done with the touch ups, both their reactions were priceless when the hairdresser touched their hair. Sai's being more verbal than Rutu's.

I hand them the cards with the jokes and show them their respective chairs. I stand at a spot where I can see Sai's back and Rutu's face. They both smile as they sit down.

Oh boy, this is going to be fun...

"Why was the stadium so hot?" asks Sai.

Here comes the lamest one.

"Maybe because I was there?"

I am on the verge of pinching myself. Where did that come from?

Perhaps Sai's company makes him bolder because he looks at me and winks.

I can't stop grinning as I fan myself with my hands.

Thank God for video editors.

I watch them read the jokes and realise that Rutu's smile is effortless but making him laugh is quite a task. Plus Rutu keeps laughing at the ones he reads but not the ones Sai says.

This guy can control himself when he wants to.

And Sai ends up laughing each time Rutu does.

As soon as he gets up he comes straight to me, "Aye, Kriti you were right. I shouldn't have looked at him when he laughed."
