When it comes to hobbies, some of Mazuhashi's hobbies are unusual or at least, in any normal person's point of view. Most of his hobbies would be categorized as "feminine" but some justify as masculine. And one of them is sword training
He once entered Kendo lessons until he lost interested in Kendo but Iaido instead. Which is why he likes attacking without giving the enemy any hints he is about to attack. That's also the case he is usually calm in arguments and fights, you gotta be skilled enough to make him snap because the calmest and kindest people are worse than satan
But anyways, going back, he wanted to visit the Sakura Empire dorms just to immerse himself in the atmosphere he called "country home"
He then filled his duffle bag with extra clothes, water, snacks, and three wiping towels for his sweat
He also brings his Black Bokken which he calls it "Bonkken", a Shikomizue that he never unsheathed it for 4 years, and protective sword gloves because safety first
What is interesting about his Bokken is that the wood itself is made out of the strongest wood in the world and it's called the "Australian Buloke". A freaking wood that can withstand a chainsaw and a fucking gun
But more on that later, it's also "heavy" but it only fits Mazuhashi's preferred weight to handle it. Just like bowlers as Bowling balls have different but still heavy weights
Now we're moving on to Mazuhashi's skill in the art of the sword.
He mostly used his left hand to handling his Bokken, even though in Kendo and Iaido, everyone is strictly right-handed but because Mazuhashi is super good with his right arm other than his left, he'd just reserve his right for situation that is something serious to deal.
It also is a sign of his. When fighting against him and he uses his left arm he means that you are weak.
But when he uses his right hand in Kendo or Iaido....

There's no way you will win against him as he also practiced Naginata-jutsu arts
Now he is ready to have a "friendly" visit in the Sakura Empire
Because he's the one who renovated and technically planned (and changed) the layout of the base he knew the shipgirls in the Sakura Empire uses that one large Dojo he forgot that existed. It is a very large one indeed as it has three floors. Ground floor is of course the lobby area, 2nd floor is where Kendo practices are held and for the 3rd floor is for Naginata training. Even though he only saw two who wielded a Naginata and it's IJN Ise and IJN Hyūga
Though he is impressed as most of the shipgirls are Katana and Nodachi wielders. And for the ones who wield Nodachis, Mazuhashi is shocked that they can carry that large of a sword even though its taller than them just by the centimeters in height difference.
