I Know ? - Travis Scott

Alexander

Two out of three of my roommates are battling severe hangovers the minute I walk out of my room the next morning.

The only one besides me who's not groaning in agony is Jordan because he believes in the I hate getting drunk philosophy.

He actually drinks responsibly and thank god he's able to concoct the perfect hangover smoothie because the two on the couch wouldn't be able to function without it.

Neither would the two other blondes who're with them, half naked, and just as hungover.

I sigh and shake my head at the scene, turning into the kitchen and drowning out the noise of the blender. "Grant." Jordan looks up as he washes his hands in the sink.

"Miller." I nod at him and open the fridge, grabbing a spare water bottle. "Where's your arm piece from last night? I don't see her on the couch."

"Well she was exactly what you called her. An arm piece. She left when we did." he shrugs. "What about you G? Where's your-"

Before he can finish his sentence, which I can assume would've been about the girl dangling all over me last night, she walks into the kitchen. In a bra and booty shorts.

"Grant." she smiles at me.

"Cami." I acknowledge her and take a cup of Jordan's concoction. Again, she brushes up against me like she did all night long but I step away.

Girls know what they're getting into when they mess with me. Not the proudest of it but I sleep around, all of us do actually. It's sex, wake up, drive them home or to class, and that's the end of it.

So to stop Camila before she thinks this is anything more than a hookup I offer to drive her home.

"No complimentary breakfast?" She questions.

"We have practice," I lie to her and Jordan turns around, probably to laugh. "So what'll it be? Home or class?" I ask as politely as I can.

Her big blue eyes stare up at mine like a plea to not go but I'm not budging. When she finally realizes that she decides, "Home."

I wait for her to get dressed in my room before driving her to her dorm building a few minutes away. When she gets out I can finally breathe.

I really need to stop doing this.

Freshman Alex would've been the proudest man on the planet for sleeping with the bombshell that is Camila Daniels, but junior Alex isn't.

Of course she's a hot blonde with tits. What guy wouldn't want that?

But after my freak accident last year, I can't keep distracting myself with girls and booze and more girls.

Yeah, being a top prospect for the draft is great when you're nineteen and healthy, but it's a complete nightmare when you tear your ACL mid-season.

It's even worse when you're part of an agreement after college with an organization as big as the Boston Bruins, whose managers are now questioning your ability to play at the same level.

I'm still in the deal and I'm still as good, but I'll have to bust my ass this year to prove it to them. Which is why it's time for me to stop fucking around and get serious.

I park my car in the driveway and walk into the house. The kitchen is crowded by two of my groaning roommates when I walk in. "I see Thing 1 and Thing 2 finally got their asses up. You two have fun last night?"

"Oh shut up G. No need to rub your sobriety in our faces." Aiden grumbles and chugs the rest of his drink.

I laugh and place my phone on the counter, zoning in and out of conversation as I scroll through social media.

The same video has been circulating my feed for the past 48 hours and it's popped up again.

There's chatter from all students in the background as the back of my jersey is held up for show. The blaze next to the girl is just calling out for the jersey I so kindly gifted her hours before.

There's some commentary to go with it.

"For all the girls that have to deal with their shit or have gotten screwed over by the fuckboys we call our hockey team. This one's for you bitches!"

I don't know why but I find myself laughing as my jersey is tossed into the flames. And it must've caught my teammates' attention because they came to watch it too.

"You've had that video on replay ever since it went viral Alex." Aiden mentions.

"Because it's fucking hot." Matt butts in and slides the phone closer to himself.

"Or maybe it's the fact that it's the girl he hasn't been able to charm yet." Jordan jokes and I throw him a look.

Part of him is right though. Evie is one fiery chick who I can agree hasn't been the most welcoming to my gestures.

I mean, usually girls would claim my jersey-as she put it, 'their most prized possession.' But not Evie, clearly. I guess she was serious when she said she had fun watching it burn.

There's video evidence of that.

I take my phone back and shut it off before sticking it back in my pockets.

"So what are you gonna do now Grant? What other moves are you gonna put on her?" Matt asks.

I want to answer him but remind myself of my plan and promise to stop. "No moves Matt. I simply just like messing with her." I see the three of them look at each other and then at me.

"That's what they all say." Aiden laughs and I roll my eyes.

"I'm serious. Plus, she's not my type." I tell them before I walk away.

And that statement is partially true. I go for blondes most of the time so by glance, they're my type.

Except Evie.

Evie's different. She's not a blonde but she's a spitfire with one hell of an attitude. She's not going to fall for a wink and smile like everyone else.

But that's besides the point. Like I said before, I just like messing with her. So my plan is still intact.

I stand by my word like a sworn oath.

Limit the party animal in me.

And definitely no more girls.
