Chapter-17

Night had fallen and the Nikkah Ceremony was almost over. Only a few close relatives were left who were to leave after dinner. Sumaira had been escorted back to her room as she was exhausted by the day's activities.

They were currently gathered for the evening tea while chit-chatting was going on between the ladies.

"Ayaan Bhai...aapko nahi lagta ki koi shadeed single insaan ki baddua lagi hai humein" Said Tufail as he sipped tea from his cup.

"Aisa bhi kya hogaya hai ki tumhe lag raha hai baddua lagi hai?" Ayaan asked.

"Nahi matlab aap khud hi dekhein, chimte jaise larke aajkal sab set hain aur ek hum dono hai matlab jhoote muh bhi kisi larki ne haal-ahwaal nahi pucha" Tufail said and shook his head on his fate.

"Mai note kar raha hu...ki tumhe kuch zyada hi akelapan mahsoos hone laga hai kuch din se...Sab khairiyat?" Ayaan said sarcastically and winked at him.

"Hoga nahi bhai...Aas pass ke log shadi-nikkah kar rahe hain, toh mujh jaise akele larke ko toh mahsoos hoga hi" Tufail said.

"Padhle beta Padhle pehle, Khali Jeb wale ko toh waise bhi koi larki ghaas nahi dalegi" Said Ayaan as he smacked Tufail.

"Khali Jeb Kahan, aakhir mein business hi join karna hai maine bhi" Tufail Said.

"Haan bas yahi karna tum" Ayaan chuckled.

"Ye larki idhar kyu aarhi hai, dekhein-dekhein bhai, lag raha hai mere taraf hi aarhi hai" Tufail excitedly muttered under his breath as he noticed one of Talal's close business associate's daughter marching towards him.

"Lag toh Raha hai, kahi tumhari dua toh nahi sunli Allah ne" Ayaan chuckled at him.

"Bhai mujhe nervousness ho rahi hai, itna smile karte hue kyu aarhi hai" Tufail said as he started rubbing his palms to calm himself down.

"Ab toh aagyi" Ayaan declared and cleared his throat.

"Assalamualaikum Tufail bhai" Hoor greeted him.

[Alexa play, Chann se Jo toote koi sapna, jag soona-Soona lage]

Ayaan was now holding his laughter as all of Tufail's nervousness had been in vain.

"Walaikumassalam....ji?" Tufail replied as he barely managed to pass her a smile.

"Woh actually humlog truth and dare khel rahe hain, toh mujhe dare mila ki aapko Salam karke aun" She told him. Her brown eyes were doing some sort of magic on him.

"Ohh accha...koi baat nahi" Tufail smiled through his teeth.

Tufail watched her turn back and walk towards her group.

[Alexa play, Dil ke armaan aansuon me bah Gaye, hum wafa karke bhi tanha reh gayeee]

Ayaan could no longer hold back his laugh and finally burst out laughing.

"Haan Haan haslein aap, mujhe nahi baithna aapke pass...mai ja raha hu" Tufail scowled at him and got up to leave.

Talal and Umaira were also sitting in the gathering where the tea party was going on. Umaira was noticing how Nida was continuously glancing at her husband from time to time.

"Iss larki ki maine aankhein nikaal Leni hai" She mumbled under her breath which was enough for Talal to listen.

"Kiski shamat aagyi hai '' He leaned sideways and mumbled to her.
