Two days passed, and nothing happened...

Asher came home at midnight and left for the office early at 4:00 am. This routine continued for another two days.

Dia did everything to get to him.

Dia did only one thing to turn him on and that was 'breathing' but right now nothing was working, not when she slept on his bed in his shirt. During nights she consciously stalled towards his side but nothing was cracking him up. He was fucking stubborn.

The next morning to the office Dia wore his favorite outfit and the only response she got from him was extra work.

She was sitting in her cabin stamping some papers and she heard some of her colleagues whispering, "It's the nice deal, you know. Make your boss fall in love, trick him into marriage. There you go, all your debts are settled."

Dia's eyes burned with anger, how possibly they could think that? She never thought anything about that. She truly loved him. And the part about debts, Asher knew her grandma left her two hundred and fifty million dollars for her. Her face was red with embarrassment but she did not give them satisfaction by crying.

Asher noticed the sudden dismay on her face. He observed her for a few more minutes and opened his laptop.

He watched the recording and caught the voice of Miss. Racheal and Miss Lily talking shit about his wife. They both had a very huge crush on him. They were hitting on him like teenagers from the very first day and he also noticed their affliction whenever he preferred Dia.

He simply went to their cabin and handed them letters saying they were fired and said, "The next time you talk shit about my wife, I'll make sure you never get the job in this whole country ,"

He came to his office as if nothing happened and heard a faint knock.

She came in and said in a low voice, "you didn't have to do that, they were your best-," she looked hurt.

"I don't know what you are talking about,"

He knew very well what she was talking about him firing the two most important members of the company. Rachael and Lily may be a bitch sometimes but they were one of the finest associates and he fired them. How he knew about them talking shit about her was still a mystery to her but he totally knew he fired them because of her.

Dia returned home and waited for him, she waited for him for the whole night but he didn't come home.

He did not return home. Thousands of wrong thoughts were consuming her mind. She called him multiple times and all she was got no response. She called Zed to know about his whereabouts. She knew he'd never cheat on her but what if something has happened to him? Zed informed he was still in the office.

It was nearly four in the morning but she didn't care. She got into her SUV and went straight to his company. She noticed her new bodyguard Ronan following her.

Without knocking she entered his office, he was working on some papers. His hair was messy and his forearms were visible and he looked like a fucking God. Whatever his state was, he always looked perfect, but that was no time for admiring his beauty, "You didn't come home last night," she almost whispered and fought back her tears. She would do everything to get him back and that day was now.

"I slept here," he let out standing from his position. She looked hurt and Asher knew that very well but he wanted to teach her a lesson about never walking into a death trap ever again.

"What do you want me to do, Asher? What can I do to make it right?"

"I want you to realise how foolish it was to go alone there," he spoke out.

"do you know how it felt when I heard you were alone with that bastard? He could have killed you. It would be all on me. You would have died because of me and refuse to let you die,"

"no it's not because of you," she said and her voice cracked. Her tears were on rim. He was mad at her because he thought it was his fault. Zed told her, his first wife died saving him and Jaxon. He took the blame on him and if anything would have happened to her he'd again take it on him and that was eating him. She finally understood his point.

"you didn't know I fucking died inside when I saw him holding his gun at you," his eyes filled with tear.

He fucking had tears in his eyes just by thinking that scene.

She saw him like this for first time and she hated she was the reason for it but somehow the love for him only got deeper.

"I understand that Asher, I do. I promise I'll never leave you like this, but please give me one chance. Don't kill us, please don't kill us," her tears were nonstop moving out. She took few steps forward and kept her hands on his chest, "please don't do this to us," she cried on his chest.

He finally wrapped his hands around her waist and hugged her tightly. She kept crying for few more minutes and he hugged her even more.

"if you can't forgive me, then let me go," she sobbed and backed away but he didn't let her, "Let me go," she cried more and he wrapped his hands in a never-breaking knot. She cried for letting her go but she only wanted him to hold her tight and never let go.

"Mom," a small voice came in.

THAT'S. IT. NO-ONE. IS. GOING. NOWHERE.

The moment Jaxon called her "mom" she knew she doesn't want to go anywhere. The only place to go was to him and Jaxon. The term "mom" gave some special power to her and she is tied to this little human.

Both of them turned around and saw Jaxon standing there with his cute smile. She quickly came towards him and hugged him after so long. Asher watched them as they did their cute hello by kissing each other cheeks.

"Can I call you that? Mom?" he asked.

"yes, of course, there's nothing that will make me happier than that, son" she hugged him again.

Asher saw Zed's car through his window, he brought Jaxon here. It's because of them, Dia realized she is fucking tied to all of them. She belongs to the Black family and there is no going back. Asher mentally thanked Zed for the right time entry of Jaxon.

He came and kissed Jaxon on his cheek and then faced Dia, "Take Jaxon home with you, Zed will drop you," she looked at him with puppy eyes expecting something more from him. He finally kissed her forehead and said, "I'll be home tonight, I promise,"
