The atmosphere was unexplainable, a tense energy that crackled in the air as the trio from Alpha Earth faced a revelation that none of them saw coming. Reyna stood frozen, eyes fixed on the young man who stood before them. Apparently, Mateo was the son of her ex-husband. Whether or not another Mateo exists in Alpha Earth is unknown, but Reyna couldn't help but feel shocked at the revelation.

Neon's eyes darted to Reyna, whose stoic expression was a facade for the surprise that surely swirled within her. Killjoy's brows furrowed as she tried to process the information, realizing that this was a chapter of Reyna's life they had no knowledge of.

Before anyone could speak, the scene took a turn for the worse. Omega Glitch, a name that sent shivers down their spines, entered the scene with an air of malevolence. The trio's hands instinctively gripped their weapons as they faced the ever-present threat Glitch posed.

Mateo, who had known Glitch from a different context, seemed torn between confusion and concern. "Glitch, what are you doing here?" he asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Glitch's words were as cold as the metallic sheen of his battlesuit. "These three aren't from this world, Mateo. They're intruders."

Mateo's brows furrowed, his gaze flickering between the trio and Glitch. "What? Wait, I-I don't understand,"

A sigh escaped Glitch's lips, his tone patronizing. "Mateo, you need to return those Radivores you released from the facility. News of their escape has reached the Valorant Legion."

Mateo's heart raced, the weight of the world crashing down on him. He'd released those creatures in an act of kindness, although aware of the consequences. But there was something in his bond with them, something he couldn't explain.

"They're living beings," Mateo said, his voice gaining strength as he stood before Glitch. "They deserve to be free."

Glitch's expression remained unfazed. "Mateo, please. Don't make this harder than it needs to be."

Mateo's gaze shifted to the creatures, their eyes meeting his in an unspoken connection. He knew them in ways he couldn't convey to anyone else, a bond that transcended the barriers of language. He stepped forward, his stance unwavering.

"No one can understand them like I do," he said, his words ringing with conviction. "I have the power to understand non-human creatures, to feel their emotions."

A tense silence settled over the scene. Mateo turned his gaze from Glitch to the creatures he'd come to cherish.

"I won't let anyone take them away," he declared, his voice a resolute echo in the air.

Glitch let out an exasperated sigh. "I will deal with you later," his words rang out.

The trio from Alpha Earth, their weapons poised, stared down Glitch with a mixture of defiance and unease. Glitch's attention shifted from Mateo to the trio as he coldly addressed them, his Phantom weapon readied for action.

"Intruders of Alpha Earth," he declared, his voice sharp and cutting through the charged atmosphere. His Phantom glinted ominously in the dim light. The trio mirrored his readiness, their own weapons held firmly, expressions set in determination.

Glitch's frustration spilled over as he barked out his next words. "Our world is already dying as it is. Why must you always get in our way from saving it? What could you possibly gain from our destruction?" His voice filled with nothing but anger and desperation, as if his conviction was the only anchor he had left.

Killjoy, never one to back down, countered his accusations. "You came to our world to steal our Radianite! It destroyed cities and put people's lives in danger!" Her tone was accusatory, her eyes fixed on Glitch with a fierce determination.
