47| Tired Celebration

The podium was great. Everyone was smiling huge as I sprayed them with the big bottle of champagne. But soon after they were out to get me with both Lando and Max ganging up on me. It's safe to say I was soaked from head to toe in champagne at the end of it. 

After getting off the podium I was bombarded with cameras and mic in my face. I carefully just tried to make my way back to the garage where most of the team were waiting. They all cheered when I entered with my now empty bottle of champagne and trophy. 

We all celebrated a bit in the garage and took some pictures for later. But at the end I found myself changed and back into the media pen where I was being asked dozens of questions.

"What an incredible drive today Charles truly spectacular to watch. Now tell me how did you mange to pull it off?" One of the interviewers asked me. "Well I think that today I was able to really push the car and we had incredible pace overall. But also I think that I was just also in the right state of mind" I said to the lady trying to avoid looking at the cameras. 

I had a few more interviews like that then I was let off. I made my way back to the hospitality where I was met with many fans along the way. Eventually I made it there and found my way to my changing room to change out of my still soaked suit. After taking a quick shower in my bathroom I changed into the fresh clothes but just let my hair stay wet. 

I went to go get my laptop and notebook in order to get some work out of the way. I made my way to Aria's office where I was sure she would be. 

I knock on the door and heard a soft voice answer. "Come in" She said as I opened the door. I walked in and closed the door quickly. "Can I come work in here?" I ask her. "Be my guest" She said gesturing to the couch in front of her. 

I plop myself on the couch and open my laptop to start with the endless stream of emails. After about an hour of us both doing work we both got really tired and decided to head out. I left to grab my stuff and told her that I would just meet her by the car. 

I meet Aria by the car and drove us both back to the hotel. We both collapsed on to the bed and just laid there for a moment in silence. "You wanna go get food in a bit?" Aria suggested. I nodded before taking my shirt to change in to a sweatshirt.  

As soon as I knew it we were back into the car now changed into more comfy clothes and were trying to find the closest thing to eat. 

"I see a McDonald's up ahead" Aria points out. I pull into the drive through and let Aria order what ever she wanted then did myself. "Oh and one last thing can I get two M&M Mcflurries please" I say adding to the end. 

He tells me my total and I drive up the window. After paying they hand us our food and we said thank you then drove off. 

I drove for a little while until we found a quiet spot where we could look over everything. We both got out and brought the food out. "Surprise" Aria said pulling out a blanket from the front of the car.

She laid it out in front of the car and we both sat down and started to eat our food. "I'm tired today" I said. "I know you are come lay down" Aria responded pulling my head into her lap. I turned my head to look at the city as she ran her hands through my hair. 

"You did so incredible today" She said to me softly. I hum while her hands stroked the stands of my hair. 

"Here I think you deserve this" She said bringing the spoon of the McFlurry down to my mouth. I gratefully took it into my mouth. 

"I need to ask you where do you want to go for summer break?" I say to her. "I don't really know I mean I have a bunch of places on my bucket list but we can't go to some of these places" She says to me.
