"Can I help you?" Gretchen questioned, wondering who the caller was.

"Who is this?"

"Who are you trying to reach?"

"I think I have the wrong number."

"Oh, don't worry about it. It happens. Bye." Gretchen hung up and placed the phone down before turning around to head back to the living room.

As she was heading back, the phone rang again.

"Just let it ring this time." Ben told her, turning to face her.

"What if it's important?" Gretchen asked before she turned around and went back to the phone.

She picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Sorry. I guessed I must've dialed the wrong number."

"Oh, then why'd you dial it again?"

"To apologize."

"Well, you are forgiven. I hope you dial the right number next time." Gretchen once again hung up.

She barely even placed the phone down when it rang again.

She let out a small sighed and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Sorry, I keep dialing."

"That's okay."

"Can we talk?"

"Don't you have someone to call?"

"Yeah, but I wanna talk to you. No one ever wants to talk to me."

"Well, okay. What do you wanna talk about?"

"What are you doing right now?"

"Um, watching a movie."

"What kind of movie?"

"Nightmare on Elm Street part I."

"I like that movie. It was good."

"Say, what's your scary movie?"

"I don't really have a favorite scary movie. I just like all movies."

"Even the cringy ones?"

Gretchen chuckled ,"I have a limit."

"What's your favorite scary movie?"

"Guess."

Gretchen hummed, "Hm? The blob?"

"The blob? Yeah, that's a good movie."

"Say, what's your name again?"

"Gretchen. What's yours?"

"I don't think you wanna know my name."

"Why is that?"

"Well, as much I want you screaming my name, I can't have you saying it to the whole world, especially to your two friends in the living room sitting on the couch stuffing their faces with popcorn and unhealthy candy."

Gretchen glanced over at Ben and James, "How did you know that?"

"Cause I'm looking right at you, pretty girl,"

"I could treat you better than those two morons that can't seem to stop fighting over you. They would rather ruin their friendship than share a girl."

"I mean, if I were them, I wouldn't share you either."

"I'm sorry, I have to go."

"No, don't hang up on, pretty girl.." Gretchen hung up and placed the phone.

"Hey," she jumped and turned to face Ben and James, who had walked over to her.

"Whoa, it's just us. Is everything okay?" James questioned

"The phone call was a bit weird." She told them

Before either boys could reply, the phone rang again.

Ben picked it up this time. "Hello?"

"This isn't pretty girl. Where is she? I want to talk to her." The person practically whined out

"Well, tough shit. You're talking to me. The fuck you want?"

"Me?"

Ben rolled his eyes ,"yes, dipshit, you."

"You are rude."

"Don't give a shit."

"I want to see what your insides look like. I'm gonna gut you, but for Gretchen, man, I'm gonna screw her insides. Get it?"

Ben clenched the phone in his hand, anger filling his body.

"Over my dead body, asshole."

"That's the plan, Ben. I'm gonna kill you, then I'll take your girl in so many different ways."

"Fuck. You."

"Ben? Ben, look." Gretchen tightly held both boys' arms as the hallway closet creaked open.

"Time to die ben!"

Robin and Randy walked out of the movie theater. "I'd drive you home, but I'm pretty Billy and stu would do that." Randy told her

Robin chuckled ,"Yeah, get home safe, alright?" Randy nodded before he walked away.

Robin grinned, "You two can come out now."

Billy and stu walked over to her, "How'd you know we were here?" Stu questioned

"Cause I know the both of you." Robin replied, crossing her arms.

"So..you two gonna drive me home?" She questioned, "cause, you know, Randy left me."

"Yeah, come on." Soon, the three of them were in Billy car but Billy didn't start it.

"We need to talk, Robin." Billy told her and Robin hummed, "about what?"

"Do you.. like him? Randy?" Billy questioned

"No, I don't. I like someone else." Robin said, "Yeah? Who?" Stu questioned

Robin leaned forward, "You.. and Billy." She told them.

Both boys shared a look before looking at Robin. "For real?" Stu asked, and Robin nodded

"Randy just asked me out so you two can get jealous." She told them, "and it's worked."

"I'm still gonna kill murder that little freak." Billy mumbled.

Before either of the teens could say anything, cop cars flew past them sirens blasting.

"What the hell?"
