The man with an overbite glances at the spiky-haired boy sitting beside the assassin heir, his friend noticing the aura glowing around his raised fist. "Gon? You realised what was going on?" Killua asks his friend who looks back at him with a nonchalant expression.

"Well, it was just a hunch," he explains, relaxing. "I thought it was only natural that the hosts would want to test everyone here."

The man sitting two rows behind the boys laughs, his arms crossed. "That's true. You win, kid," he leans his back as he crackles before leaning his arms over the back of the seat in front of him, smiling at Gon. "Yeah, I'm impressed. Not many people can stick to their ideals. The steeper and more dangerous path, the greater the need for both wit and ignorance to move forward," he smirks, leaning up.

"Next, please," a man in a suit and sunglasses calls into the microphone, his left arm extended to the stage.

Puhat, as the man introduced himself, jumps out of his seat and leaps over the rows of seats to make his way down; behind him, Killua makes a snarky remark, disinterested in the man. The white-haired assassin thinks to himself about the situation before hopping over the rows of seats and glancing back at his best friend, bidding him luck as he makes his way to the stage. He thinks back to his father's advice about taking risks as an assassin, calming himself and proclaiming to be a hunter instead as he enters the audition room where Tsezguerra is waiting with a stern gaze.

"Let me see your Ren," the military-looking man demands.

Killua insists on showing his Hatsu to the professional, who agrees with a sly grin. With the agreement in place, the young heir smiles and points his fingers together, a spark of electricity grows into a bolt, appearing between his fingers and intensifying around him â€" shocking Tsezguerra. He concentrates the bolts on his hands, facing them downwards to the ground while his hair floats under the strength of the electricity.

"That's enough. You pass," Tsezguerra tells the boy, staring down the boy. "However, this technique could not have fully developed overnight. You'd require years of torturous training, exposing your body to strong electricity. Who are you?" he explains his concerns and questions the child walking away from him.

"Strong electricity? From birth, I've been exposed to electricity," Killua glances over his shoulder at the man. "Family reasons."

The former assassin enters the room, counting the number of passing members before taking a seat near the back row; as he goes to sit down, a loud thud rumbles the building before the door opens to reveal Gon peeking into the room. Killua calls out his name, an arm raised as his friend walks over and joins him in the back row. Once the screenings were finished, Tsezguerra entered the room and stood in front of the classroom with an authoritative voice.

"Well, allow me to congratulate you. The twenty-one people here have earned the right to play Greed Island. Upon clearing the game, you will receive 50 billion Jenny. The details are in the contract, so read and sign it before you depart at 5pm," Tsezguerra explains before dismissing the lot.

Gon and Killua leave to meet with Leorio, having the older teenager read through the contract and read through the document for the two boys. The bespectacled male scans through the material, noticing nothing wrong with it and assuring the boy to sign the contract when Killua intervenes and points out the second condition of the document.

"Anything that you bring out of the game. That's why he's paying the big bucks," Killua points out but is dismissed by Gon's strong determination to find his father and get closer to the abandoning hunter. The two boys then bid Leorio goodbye before returning to their mission in Greed Island, travelling with the passing twenty-one participants to a location where countless computers hooked up to the game are seen.

"Now the...Before we begin, let me explain a few things. The individual game copies are not independent. It doesn't matter which console you start from, you will arrive at the same place. Consider it a virtual area accessible from any spot on this planet," Tsezguerra explains before moving on to hand out memory cards to the participants, elaborating that they would head into the game immediately and that only one person could enter the game once at a time. Gon pulls out his memory card and decides to use his own copy, promising to wait until his best friend arrives in the game.
