Chapter 47 | have some fun [part 1]

Reader POV

I hummed as I stroked the sleeping dragon on my lap.

"Sleep little one sleep..."

The baby dragon twitched and curled up.

A week since the attack and they still haven't found me, thats good, the bad, I'm defenceless.

Hiccup has been working day and night to make me armour and a flaming sword like his.

He hasn't come home yet as well... Probably working overtime as usual.

I put the baby dragon down by its mother and left it to sleep.

I flopped face first onto the bed.
I had to talk to someone.

I picked up my phone and dialled my cousins number.

"This is (c/n) speak now or forever hold your peace. Beep"

Voicemail.

"Answer the phone you butt"

I left the message and put my phone away.

I started up at the roof, knowing I had to take my mind off things and have fun.

I did get a letter from Berk asking if I wanted to perform at their festival.

It also said to not worry about kid-proofing the song because it was at night.

A Viking music festival? I can dig that.

I sighed and got up to try and find Hiccup.

I walked into the forge that was lit by a dim glow of fire burning out.

I saw Hiccup asleep at his desk and smiled, next to him was half of my armour.

I untied his apron and picked him up.

"You baby" I whispered taking him back to our hut.

I put him down in bed and smiled at him.

"I love you" I said kissing his forehead and laying down next to him.

Suddenly his arms snaked around me.

"I love you too"

I hugged him back and fell asleep

-the next day-

"Should we do it?" Hiccup asked.

"Yeah performing could be fun" I said.

"Now we have to pick a song" Hiccup said.

"On it" I said tapping on my music app.

We were in the clubhouse with the rest of the gang as they eves dropped on us.

I played each song but didn't come to a conclusion.

"How about a dare" Astrid said.

"I'm listening" I said.

"You do that song with Hiccup and dance to match it, and I'll sing myself" she said.

"THAT song... Ok deal" I said.

I gotta see this.

"Do I get a say in this?" Hiccup said.

"No" Astrid and I said at the same time.

Hiccup playfully hit me for that.

"Meanie" I teased.

"Well at least your doing the song with me and not someone else" Hiccup said.

"Always looking on the bright side" I teased "you're right though"

"Alright lovebirds, eat your breakfast" Heather said.

"Fine" I said stabbing my food and eating it.

"We need some way to amplify the music from my phone..." I mumbled.

"Leave that to me" Hiccup said finishing his food and kissing me on the head before walking out.

"So whatcha gonna do for the choreography, its gotta match" Astrid said.

I thought for a moment.

"Uhhh... Wait... Oh Thor" I said realising it had to match.

Astrid and Heather burst out laughing.

"Not funny" I said.

"In front of a crowd too!" Astrid laughed.

"Your inner fangirl will escape!" Heather laughed.

"NOT. HELPING." I said.

"A deals a deal" Astrid said.

"Why do you wanna see this anyway?"

"Because I wanna see Hiccups reaction" Astrid said.

I smashed my head on the table.

"I hate you..."

"Go get practicing!" Heather teased and shoved me out the door.

I actually do have to make up a routine...

I just never thought it'd be a routine like this... I'm 16... Not 20...

I hate Astrid right now.
