Chapter Twenty-Four: Yandere

After Zero's declaration, Seven raised one of his eyebrows as he look at me and then back to Zero. He looked at Zero with a frown, obviously not believing what he have just said earlier.

"Liar. Who are you to Amber anyways?"

Zero laughed without humor before answering bluntly, "Me? I'm her stalker and her fiance."

Seven look baffled before turning to ask me next.

He held my shoulders tightly, our distance are dangerously close, "Tell me Amber, is he saying the truth?"

I panicked and tried thinking of an excuse.

"I... um.. I guess... I don't know! I'm also confused!"

Seven looked relief. He then placed his head on my shoulder before whispering,

"Don't worry, I won't let him have you."

I frown as I tried getting his head off my shoulder. I felt the killing intent surrounding Zero intensify because of what Seven did.

This guy. He really has a death wish, I thought.

And before I knew it, Zero teleported beside Seven as he pried him off of me. He then threw Seven to the other end of the hallway.

I stood there, mortified. Did he just...?

"Brother, you should know well that I hate people who touches what is mine." Zero said menacingly.

I backed away and sat in a corner. If I involve myself in the situation right now, it'll only worsen. It's a fight between brothers. Rather, i'll just sit this one out.

If things get out of hand, then I will not be kind anymore.

But right now, Zero looked like a demon who crawled out from hell.

I couldn't help but look at him in a new perspective.

With his cold eyes that if you stare at directly, makes you involuntarily shiver. The killing intent he's releasing. His mouth formed in a perfect but dangerous smile.

Even I couldn't help but be wary of him. In my past life, i've faced death threats, dangerous tasks, poison, weapon and other scary stuff, but if you compare all of them to Zero right now, they pale in comparison.

Right then and there, my assassin instincts kicked in.

Dangerous! This guy is in a bad mood!

"Yours? Is Amber yours?" Seven said provokingly. A trail of blood coming out from the corner of his mouth.

I saw how Zero clenched his fist.

"Oh? Why didn't you answer elder brother? It's true, right? That Amber isn't yours!" Seven shouted.

Zero then laughed coldly which made me shudder.

"Not right now. But eventually, she'll be mine!" He declared as he released a powerful aura.

As if realization slapped me in the face, I looked at Zero, dumbstrucked.

Forget people calling me a prodigy for being able to reach the S-rank. Compare to Zero, i'm nothing.

Right now, covered in an aura of an intermediate X-ranker, Zero stood there in all his glory.

A prodigy! This is what you call a genuine prodigy!

I then turn my head to look at the other side of the hallway. Seven also released a powerful aura of a beginner P-ranker. Looks like he breakthrough already.

But even if he breakthrough or not, compare to his elder brother, he doesn't stand a chance.

With only a wave of Zero's hand, Seven is as good as dead.

"Bind." Zero chanted as transparent-like chains slither its way towards Seven's feet. Eventually, ended up being dangled upside down on the high ceiling.

Seven shot Zero a hateful glare.

"Little brother, i'll give you a warning early on. It's okay for me if you became friends with Amber but."

Zero spoke in a cold voice, "If things crosses the line. Then don't blame me for being merciless." He paused, "Besides, with Marlie as your fiance you don't have a chance. If you don't want a war breaking out, just be thankful for what you have right now."

"It'd be a lie if I tell you Amber agreed to be my fiance but there's still more time. Although if anyone dare stood in my way, i'll make them regret living." He finished his statement with a laugh.

I was thinking for a moment and didn't noticed that Zero is already in front of me.

"Enjoyed the show?" He asked with a smirk.

I frown, "No. And for your infromation, i'm not yours. In fact, I don't belong to anyone." I stood up and walked away.

Suddenly, I felt someone grabbing my waist. And for the third time this day, Zero hugged me again.

"What do you want?" I asked.

Zero stayed silent. I then felt something on my neck. I looked down and saw a necklace. It's a beautiful silver necklace with a golden rose pendant.

"What's this?"

"It's the logo of the Venice clan. So that everybody will know that you're mine."

I frown, "I don't belong to anyone."

He hugged me even tighter.

"Soon. You will become mine."

I sighed before flicking his forehead. I gave him a small smile.

"Well then, you eventually have to try harder." I said before prying his hands off.

I saw him looking all motivated.

I shrugged it off. In my past life, eventhough people avoid me because they view me as the villainess, there are still some who admires me because of my positive aspects.

Setting my cold attitude aside, i'm well-known for being always top two either on beauty or brains. Of course my twin sister is top one. Even the Campus Prince tried everything to woe me but I guess i'm just too dense. And their sweet gestures are all too boring and plain.

"What?! Amber, you're really giving him a chance?!" Seven shouted.

I shrugged, "I'm not easily moved. It just depends on his effort."

Zero smiled, "Even if I won't be able to win your feelings. I can still go on to my plan B."

"What plan B?"

"To kidnap you and make you forcefully stay by my side!"

I backed away a few steps.

"Remember Amber, even if you hate me or love me. You'll always be..."

"Mine." He said with a sinister smile.

And that's when I conclude, i'm doomed forever.

He just had to be a yandere.
